What will you do when the abuser runs aways from the claims of the abused? They wanted to confront lovingly but the abuser and his enablers choose to hide. What will the abused do?

Isang prinsipyo sa buhay: Walang magagawa ang pagpaparinig sa Social Media.

Nag-aapoy lang ang mga damdamin pero walang naso-solve na issue. Lumalaki ang gawak pero hindi nasosolusyunan ang sugat.

Alam ko, you are offended and you are entitled to your own voice, pero may nagagawa ba kapag nagparinig ka sa Social Media? May nasosolusyunan ba sa isyung kinakaharap ninyo as a team? Mas lumalalim lang ang gap.

Alam ko, ikaw ang naka-offend at pinaparinggan ka na nila sa social media, pero may naso-solve ba ang pagtatago? May pinatutunguhan ba ang iyong pagkukubli at pananahimik?

Pag may problema sa team, instead na magparinigan, mag-usap.
Mag-usap sa diwa at sa essence ng pag-ibig ni Kristo.
Oo, masakit. Oo, nakakatakot, pero the way to go is the love of Christ.

The way to go is to resolve it.
Walang magagawa ang pagpaparinig.
Wala ring magagawa ang pagtatago.
Huwag magtaguan. Magharapan.
Huwag magparinigan. Magmahalan.

PS: Love doesn't tolerate wrongdoings. Ang tunay na pag-ibig, sasabihing mali ang mali.

Abuse in any forms is considered as a criminal case. It is beyond understanding already. In all angles, THE ABUSER IS THE ONE WHO IS AT FAULT.

DO NOT BLAME THE VICTIM.

Most abusers hide in the shadow of a church. Be vigilant. Do not conform.

Spiritual abuse is real. Whether we like it or not, may mga taong gagamitin ang salita ng Diyos upang abusuhin ang iba, instead na i-empower ang bawat isa. Gagamitin ang salita ng Diyos upang patahimikin ang iba at hindi para ma-encourage ang bawat isa. Instead na leadership, manipulation ang pinapairal.

Ministries that have spiritual abuse…
1. Have a distorted view of respect. They forget the simple adage that respect is earned, not granted.

2. Demand allegiance as proof of the follower’s allegiance to Christ. It’s either his/her way or no way. And if a follower deviates, he is guilty of deviating from Jesus.

3. Use exclusive language. “We’re the only ministry really following Jesus.” “We have all the right theology.” Believe their way of doing things, thinking theologically, or handling ministry and church is the only correct way. Everyone else is wrong, misguided or stupidly naive.

4. Create a culture of fear and shame. Often, there is no grace for someone who fails to live up to the church’s or ministry’s expectation.

5. Often have a charismatic leader at the helm who starts off well but slips into arrogance, protectionism and pride. Where a leader might start off being personable and interested in others’ issues, he/she eventually withdraws to a small group of “yes people” and isolates from the needs of others.

6. Cultivate a dependence on one leader or leaders for spiritual information. Personal discipleship isn’t encouraged. Often the Bible gets pushed away to the fringes unless the main leader is teaching it.

7. Demand servanthood of their followers, but live prestigious, privileged lives. They live aloof from their followers and justify their extravagance as God’s favor and approval on their ministry.

8. Buffer him/herself from criticism by placing people around themselves whose only allegiance is to the leader.

9. Hold to outward performance but reject authentic spirituality.

10. Use exclusivity for allegiance.

UPDATE: La Salle Food and Water Institute discussed about Coffee and Cacao Authenticity and Traceability Study with different stakeholders from Region I, II and IV-A.

Since last week, the coffee and cacao research team has been meeting with stakeholders from different regions to discuss the objectives of the FAT project and its benefits to the coffee and cacao industries. Moreover, the team was able to asked the present concerns of farmers regarding their coffee and cacao products. To sum it up, all the webinars were able to serve as a platform to discuss the project's objectives and benefits to its direct recipients. Indeed, the researchers were able to bring science to the people.

𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: La Salle Food and Water Institute, together with DOST-PNRI, goes to Baguio and Sagada to visit Coffee Farmers and Cooperatives.

The coffee and cacao traceability research team is pleased to show the highlights of our Baguio-Sagada trip last June 27 - July 1, 2022 together with the researchers from the DOST- PNRI Nuclear Materials Research Section under the Food Authenticity and Traceability (FAT) Program.

The LSFWI team commenced its series of field works in the Cordillera Administrative Region, which is one of the leading producers of excellent coffee and cacao products in the Philippines. They met with the provincial officials of the Department of Trade and Industry-CAR, including its regional director, Ms. Juliet P. Lucas. Moreover, the round table discussion was spear-headed by FAT Program's program head, Dr. Angel Bautista VII.

To introduce the project and discuss its objectives and benefits to the coffee industry, the team met with different farmers and cooperatives in Sagada such as Dr. Alver Claudio of MPSPC, Mr. George Dapliyan of Dapliyan Coffee, Ms. Jennifer Rimando of MADCHIKOM Cooperative, and Mr. Vincent Andawi of SACGPO.

The Philippine Coffee Guild, being an active collaborator of this traceability study, was represented by its project officer, Mr. Aaron Del Poso, throughout this trip.
