BREATHE MARY, AS THE BODY BREATHES AIR.
Scientifically, the humanβs capability to breathe in and out is through the lungs. In this instance, the lungs metaphorically signifies the ability to inhale all the circumstances in life and withstand it, hence, exhale all the battles won with Mary as the center of oneβs heart and the system it follows. The tree of life with its roots exposed is connected to the lungs as it symbolizes the growth an individual prospered with its leaves spreading fresh air to every person on its surrounding, giving them hope and courage that one day, all of their sacrifices shall bear fruit. The Immaculate Heart of Mary perceives the Mother of God's joys aynd sufferings, virtues and perfections, adoration of God and her Mighty Son, and compassionate love for humanity. The βthemeβ encapsulating the entire image solidifies the idealism of oneness of the body and love for our Mother. The birds with the clouds beneath symbolizes new beginnings, hope, and freedom. Whilst the latter, as it provides rain, offer life-giving water and reflect God, who is invisible but constantly present.

CHAPTER 37 SUGGESTIONS AS TO WORKS
2. Visitation of the Homes of the People
Jesus came into the world to personally show us the unconditional love of God. Personal contact is necessary it we are to give the message of love to everyone. This is what is happening when Legionaries visits the Homes of the People. There will be that very important aspect that our message of love would be listened too, welcomed and deeply understood through personal contact.
Home visitation has been traditionally the preferred work of the Legion as it is an avenue of greatest good. It is a characteristic of the Legion. Visiting homes of the people is "the apple of the Legions' apostolic eye." Anyone can do home visitation after some instructions and field training. What is required is only the desire to engage in it, a willingness to learn a few tricks of the trade, confidence in the Holy Spirit, confidence in our Lady. If those are in place, the work proceeds and becomes challenging, at times exhilarating but fulfilling.
The Church's concern for people and much more for every family can be made known thoroughly through home visitation where personal contact is made with as many people as possible. The Church's pastoral concern is not limited only to Christian families but for all especially those in difficult or irregular situations because the Church will only have a word of truth, goodness, understanding, hope and deep sympathy with them. They will be help so that they can come closer to that model of a family which the Creator intended from 'the beginning' and which Christ has renewed with his redeeming grace.
Visitation of the Homes of the People takes many forms; whether going door to door to pass out literature, enthroning the Sacred Heart in homes, or the making of the parish census. It has several common elements. First, each form of home visitation seeks to go out into the world and proclaim the gospel. We must cast our nets wide into the deep, trusting Mary as our guide, and proclaim the Gospel to return as many as we can to the Church. Second, each is a highly organized effort, seeking to make contact with souls, keep in touch with them, and help them grow, over time, in holiness. The aim in all these tasks is to make continued contact with long conversations, life-time connections, and continued follow-up. It is not a one-time visit that is the goal. Third, perhaps the most important, the primary actions that one does during a home visitation are to listen and pray. While these may be difficult for some of our more talkative members, with God's help, they will be able to silently pray and simply listen.
Every senior praesidium is called to imitate the apostolate that Christ commissioned to the 12 to go out in pairs each week and go to different towns- to bring souls back to the fold. This is always the goal, to bring back souls to the fold. The main mission of Jesus, the main mission of Mary, the main mission of Legionaries.

The Legion System Invariable
Christian perfection is the underlying motivation of the Legion of Mary. In everything we do, we go an extra step to perfect our actions, our daily work, thereby imitating the perfection of Mary. The Legion system gives us the opportunity to practice and enhance our call to perfection.
It demands great sacrifices to follow this system. As soon as you join this organization there is no other way but to follow the system because it is the framework of the Legion of Mary. Right then the new member is encouraged to study the handbook and be acquainted with what comes from the higher council. (ex. reminders, information, etc.). Any information and reminders from the higher council goes down to the next level, to the preasidium and to each legionary. It is systematic which ensures each one knows the information or reminders which creates unity among legionaries.
The primary reason for the system is its function in sanctifying us, in giving us holy discipline necessary for formation to attain perfection and holiness of life. It takes a while to establish a habit. The legion routine of saying the Catena prayer daily, attending the weekly meeting of the praesidium. the monthly Curia meeting, and the yearly Acies will help us to establish good prayer habits and the habit of virtue that results in transformation of every legionary.
The survival of the Legion depends on a strict adherence to the legion system, its rules and practices as described in the handbook that have been developed over years of successful operation. It is a system that has been tested and proven in whatever circumstances and time. Proposals that the legion system should be made flexible to meet alleged special circumstances very often is not out of necessity as the legion has already demonstrated its universal adaptability but it comes from the operation of false spirit of independence and worse from the person's personal desire of independence or perhaps a wrong notion of adaptability or renewal. Such desire for change or alteration or variation no matter how little will create a precedence until the system will not be any more productive in its undying motivation that is the Christian perfection.
The various councils of the Legion of Mary exist primarily for the purpose of perfecting intact the legion system at all cost. So, when your Senatus officers, down to the Comitium and Praesidiium Officers call your attention for something not done according to the system of the handbook, you should be happy and proud of your officers as they are doing their responsibility. "The system of the Legion of Mary is the most excellent one" (Pope John XXII). But it can be thrown out of balance by suppressing or altering any of its parts. "You must accept the whole or reject the whole" (Cardinal Newman).
Following the intense and orderly system of the legion strengthens our spiritual life that leads to a holy life and transformation that gives glory to God.
Dear Mama Mary, on your special day, we celebrate your grace, love, and guidance. May your blessings always shine upon us. Happy Birthday! ππ

----------
The Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic organization founded in Dublin, Ireland, on September 7, 1921, by Servant of God Frank Duff. Its primary purpose is to serve the Church through prayer and various works of charity and evangelization.
Frank Duff, along with a small group of like-minded individuals, established the Legion to encourage Catholics to live out their faith actively. The Legionaries, as its members are called, engage in a variety of activities, including visiting the sick, homebound, and imprisoned; promoting devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary; and assisting with parish and social work.
One of the Legion's distinctive features is its devotion to Our Lady, and members often pray the Rosary and seek Mary's intercession in their activities. Over the decades, the Legion of Mary has grown into a global organization with millions of members, active in numerous countries.
