Ang Oral Polio Vaccine o OPV ay subok na ligtas at epektibo. Ito ay matagal nang ginagamit sa Pilipinas at sa buong mundo upang protektahan ang mga bata laban sa Polio.

Ayon sa World Health Organization (WHO), mahigit na 20 milyon na ang nakaiwas sa pagkalumpo dulot ng Polio sa higit na 30 taon na paggamit ng bakunang OPV.

Kasabay ng proteksyong bigay ng mga bakuna, sama-sama nating isusulong ang tamang impormasyon laban sa vaccine-preventable diseases tulad ng Polio! Abangan ang iba pang mga “Chikiting LigtASK Question of the Day” sa mga susunod na araw.
