All Cebgo (DG) flights to and from Manila will operate from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 starting November 7, 2024, while Cebu Pacific (5J) flights will continue to operate at NAIA Terminal 3.

TRAVEL ADVISORIES: AirAsia to be stricter with carry-on luggage
MANILA -- AirAsia said it will be stricter when it comes to implementing rules on carry-on baggage

In a statement, the low-cost carrier said each passenger is only allowed 7 kilograms--composed of 1 cabin baggage and 1 small personal item--on board.

The cabin baggage must be either a trolley bag or a backpack with a maximum dimension of 56 cm height, 36 cm width, and 23 cm (diameter) and must fit in the overhead storage compartment.
Meanwhile, the personal item may be a handbag or laptop bag with a maximum dimension of 40 cm height, 30 cm width, and 10 cm diameter, and must fit under the seat in front of the traveler.

Multiple items strapped, wrapped, or tied together are not counted as one piece, AirAsia said.

The airline also stressed that all items purchased at the airport form part of the cabin baggage allowance, and only duty-free items packed in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag (STEB) are exempt from cabin baggage allowance.

Any cabin baggage exceeding weight or size limits must be checked in, AirAsia said.

The budget liner said the baggage policy is expected to help flights leave on time, and make the boarding and disembarking processes smoother.

"Compliance also ensures fair access to overhead compartments for all guests, maintaining both safety and comfort,” AirAsia Communications and Public Affairs Head & First Officer Steve Dailisan said.

OFFLOADING is one of the worst things that can happen to a traveler. Imagine the time and money you spent planning and preparing for your trip, all going down the drain. Philippine immigration officers are very strict that can cause your plan go for naught.

👇Below are some tips for you not be offloaded by immigration officers in the Philippines.🌏

✨Things to remember to avoid being offloaded. Some reminders for a worry-free travel experience.

1. Passport must still have 6 months validity.
🔹 Immigration are strict in terms of passport validity, Yes, you are only staying for a week but less than 6 months of validity is a sure offload.

2. Flight ticket (with return ticket).
🔹You also need to prove that you're only going abroad for the purpose you declared and that you're coming back to the Philippines on the date you stated.
🔹A round trip ticket is a start, but anyone can buy a ticket and not use it, so you need to show you have ties to the Philippines.
🔹If you have property in the country, bring proof.
🔹If you're married, bring your marriage certificate.
🔹If you have a child, bring his/her birth certificate.

3. Ready your paid hotel booking voucher and Itinerary. Prepare an itinerary and know it by heart. Know where you're staying, where you're going, and when you're coming back.
🔹Bring the receipts of your plane tickets,accommodations, and any pre-booked attractions.

4. Prepare company ID and Certificate of Employment.

5. Bring proof of your financial capacity

6. Invitation letter / Sponsor letter
🔹This is only applicable if someone has invited you or sponsored your trip, this letter must be authenticated from MECO.

7. Relax and Dress Smart
🔹Don't overdress or underdress; wear clothes that say you're a respectable traveler.
🔹Answer the IO's questions in a respectful but confident manner. Don't lie, but don't give out unnecessary information either. Just get to the point and give consistent answers.

8. Bring supporting documents such as a

🔹Approved leave of absence (LOA).

Due to the eruption of Mount Kanlaon, we are compelled to cancel several flights, as follows:

We advise you all passengers to check the status of your journey before proceeding to the airport.

Please log on to https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/flight-status. Click the "Flight Status" icon on the main page, and then fill in the flight number and date of departure.

If your flight is CANCELLED, you may avail of any of the following options:

1. Convert your ticket to Travel Credits equivalent to the unused segment of your ticket. Voucher validity is one year (1) from the date of issuance.

2. Rebook or Reroute your ticket to another flight with available space within 60 days from the original flight in the same booking class or higher within the same cabin class.

3. Refund ticket without penalties, excluding Ticketing Service Charge.

Cancelled Flights Due to Eruption of Mt. Kanlaon

As of June 4, 2024; 3:30AM

Due to the eruption of Mt. Kanlaon in Negros Island on Monday evening, June 3 and the subsequent presence of volcanic ash in the surrounding airspace, Cebu Pacific has made the decision to cancel the following additional flights scheduled for June 4 based on the latest forecast:

5J 453/454: Manila – Iloilo – Manila

5J 248/247: General Santos - Iloilo - General Santos

5J 164/165: Cebu – Iloilo – Cebu

5J 696/695: Cagayan - Iloilo - Cagayan

Affected passengers have been informed via email and provided with the following options through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website https://www.cebupacificair.com/manage-booking:

1. Free Rebooking

Rebook without fare difference for travel up to thirty (30) days from original flight date. The fare difference will apply if the travel period is beyond thirty (30) days from the original flight date.

2. Travel Fund

Store the amount in a virtual CEB wallet and use this to either book a new flight or pay for add-ons (example: baggage allowance, seat selection, etc.)

3. Refund

Full refund of your ticket.

For other flights on June 4 to Bacolod and Iloilo, CEB is also offering flexible options, which include free rebooking and travel fund, to passengers who wish to postpone their flights. They may avail themselves of their preferred option online up to two (2) hours before their scheduled time of departure.

The safety of our passengers and crew is our priority and we are closely monitoring the situation. As this is a developing situation, some flight changes may take place in the coming days. Passengers are advised to check the status of their flights via https://www.cebupacificair.com/flight-status and update their contact details via the Manage Booking portal to receive email notifications on flight reminders and updates.
