BGFI in Guinhawa, Pinamalayan boasts of its export quality banana chips, taro chips, dried taro leaves, and vinegar. The enterprise sought technological assistance through the DOST-SETUP (Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program) where it acquired Vertical Form-Fill-Seal Machine which hrlped in speeding up the packing process resulting to increased production, employment, and gross sales. BGFI was also able to expand its reach from local market to 22 different countries in Asia, US, and the Middle East. In her acceptance speech, BGFI owner, Ms. Eliza Paylago, expressed her gratitude to DOST-MIMAROPA for the technological support provided to the firm which paved the way for the company to be “productive, advanced, and knowledgeable”.
