In partnership with the Consuelo Chito Madrigal Foundation (CCMF), Bakery School Philippines opened its doors to some 20 scholars on October 4, 2021.
The significant shortage of skilled labour and the need to provide better opportunities for underprivileged Filipino youth prompted the Puratos Group, through its Bakery School Foundation, to open a Bakery School in the country. The school is located at the CCMF Compound within the Payatas Community in Quezon City and most of its scholars come from marginalized families in the area.

Blessed to be a blessing to others!β€οΈ BSP scholars gave back to the community through a fun-filled afternoon of food and games for the children of Barangay Bagong Silangan in Payatas, Q.C. last Tuesday, Feb. 27. Together with their instructors and volunteers from Puratos, care kits and baked goodies were handed out to the kids after the program. This activity is just one of the many community service projects that we have initiated with our partner, CCMF, to engage with the families living within the area where we operate in.

BAKERY SCHOOL STORIES: Get to know our scholars from Batch 1! Rexson was one of the 17 scholars who just graduated from BSP after a two-year intensive training on bakery, patisserie and chocolate.
Rexson's family was one of the victims of the deadly storm surge brought about by typhoon Haiyan which devastated his hometown of Palo, Leyte in 2013. As a little boy, he would dream of studying in Manila so he could find a good paying job to help his family back home. The opportunity to study at BSP gave him a fighting chance for a better future. He now works in the food service industry as a professional baker.
