Mother Daughter/s Tandem
It all started in 2014 when our Mom Ging started getting into baking as a hobby in order to make us six siblings grow up in a home filled with not just comfort food, but hand crafted Gourmet Breads.
Over the years, she kept on improving the recipes she had back in 1998 when her eldest child was a chubby little kitchen monster. Her passion for food led her to making a Grilled Chicken Restaurant back in the early 2000’s in Davao City. The majority of her business background was in the Salon and Spa Industry (approximately 13 years, with over 12 branches both in Davao and Manila). But in August of 2014, her world was shattered when her closest older brother died due to cardiac arrest 1 week before she gave birth to her youngest child. It took her some years to recover from the loss of her beloved brother.
In 2017, she started to bake again. She formally started attending Baking Seminars and Private baking classes. She had her (now grown up Eldest daughter-Roxi, having already a Medical Technology background) study again Food Technology major inBaking Technology, as suggested by her Chef Teachers in one of her formal baking classes.
Her Daughter- Michelle, the bravest among Ging’s children, while working for a marketing conglomerate started her cookie brand and sold her very first home baked niche cookies to millenials. She owes not only her life to our mom, but her innate baking skills.
