WHY THIS WHOLE FACE SHIELD THING SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN OBVIOUS SCAM IN THE FIRST PLACE

Lately ay biglang dumami ang makikita mong post ng tungkol sa face shield sa social media. Punta ka sa news feed mo, sa groups, sa pages, sa marketplace, lahat ay puro halos face shield na, na tila ba may pa free welding lessons ang TESDA bukas sa buong Pilipinas. Via Zoom.

Anjan yung makikita mo na looking for 100,000 pieces on-hand daw, 300,000, 1 million, 3 million, at nakita pa ako na 30 million. Mayroon din naman na mga walang kabakas bakas ng pagiging seller/distributor all before this whole fiasco, but suddenly ay may stock sya ng tawsan tawsan na face shield.

Siguro dapat gawan ko to ng YouTube content (gaya ng laging sinasabi ng aking mahal na asawa), pero that's not my thing and I just needed to get his out of my system anyway. lol

So bakit halatang scam itong face shield deals na ito?

IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE
Isipin mo nalang. Kung 1000 pieces to 20,000, pwede pa siguro. Baka para sa company or para sa LGU. Pero 100,000? 3 million? 30 million? Saan mo gagamitin yan? That's not even the worst part.

Pano mo itatransport yan? Baka ubos na ang lahat ng Trasnportify, Lalamove, Angkas, Mr. Speedy, Grab Express, at pati mga habal-habal riders ay hindi mo pa tapos ibyahe ang 1 million face shields. Pero kahit pa sabihin natin na sa kung papaanong paraan ay nailpat mo ang lahat ng millions of peyshiled, ang susunod na tanong ay: saan mo ito dadalhin? San mo ilalagay na warehouse ang 1 million, 3 million, o 30 million na face shields? Do you even realize how many hectares worth of land you need to hold products as massive as a million face shields? Baka kailanganin mo ng isang buong SM na laki ng warehouse bes. You don't even need to do the math, common sense nalang.

WALANG GANUN MARS
Usually pag mga small to mid-scale transactions, kaliwaan nalang yan. Either you meet-up or arrange delivery. Pero kung ang pinag-uusapan na ay hundreds of thousands worth or millions? HINDI YAN DINADAAN SA SOCIAL MEDIA AT KALIWAAN SYSTEM.

Regardless kung yan ay para sa private group, LGU, or para sa sandatahan ni Fuma Lear, deals as big as those posted on social media now should go through the process like this:

1: Quote through email for formality and records purposes
2: Bidding
3: Awarding of the deal
4: Processing time
5: Somewhere between #3, #4, and #5 ang bayaran and IT IS NEVER IN CASH. It will always be in checks. Never cash.

This whole process can take several weeks, if not months, to complete. Kaya, KALOKOHAN YUNG RUSH BUKAS NA, MAMAYA O KAYA EH NOW NA.

Walang ganun mars.

Also, imagine: sa dinami-rami ng mga posts na need nila ng tawsans o millions of face shield, hindi nyo ba naisip na aabot na sa billions, if not ay hundred millions ang iikot na face shields sa merkado ng Pilipinas? Pangalawa, even if such number of a product exists, it will violate all the laws, theories, and principles of economics in writing. DAIG MO PA NAG FRONTROW
Isa pang dahilan kung bakit too good to be true ito at kung bakit maraming nahuhulog sa ganitong modus ay ang possibility to earn huge amounts of money in such an easy way. Di mo ba napapansin? Yung mga nagasasbi na need nila ng tawsan tawsan, at pati yung mga nagsasabi na meron sila na tawsan tawsan na peyshield, what do they have in common?

LAHAT SILA MGA BIGLAANG NAGING SELLER LANG. No history of being a businessman, no history of being a distributor of anything, no history of any business on Facebook at all. Yung iba sa kanila jejemon pa o kaya ay mga tambay lang. Hindi sa minamaliit natin ang mga tambay o kaya ay sinasabing wala nang karapatan magbusiness ang isang walang experience. Pero isipin mo nalang: walang overnight ay biglang naging mega distributor o kaya ay super agent ng isang product. Walang ganun.

What then, is the source of all these? Malinaw: someone, perhaps a group of elaborate scammers, are using these people as pawns. Magpapahanap sila with the promise of a commission/finder's fee, o kaya ay sasabihing may stock sila at hanapan ng bibili, kapalit ng kumisyon.

Sino bang hindi maaakit sa ganun? Aba, imagine: kung may maiko-close kang deal na for 100K peyshield, tapos may tubo ka na piso isa, instant 100K pesos yun bes! Pano pa yung mga 3 million ang hanap? Instant milyonaryo na! Hindi mo na kailangang itakwil ang pamilya at kaibigan mo sa pagsali sa Frontrow para maging milyonaryo, hindi mo na kailangang manloko ng tao para sumali sa pyramiding scam at perahan sila gamit ang mga pekeng pangako, wala ka nang hahatakin sa mga scripted networking seminar na biglang may male-late na speaker kasi bumili sya ng bagong kotse kanina lang. Wala nang ganun ganun, face shield lang ang mag aahon sa iyo sa kahirapan! But then again...

When s**t goes down, sino mawawalan ng pera? Mga kawawang akala nila eh tutubo sila sa ilalabas nilang pera. Sino masasabit? Mga kawawang pobre na nag post lang tapos biglang sila na yung scammer.

So, the bottom line is: if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
