A porcelain laminate veneer is a thin layer of ceramic material that can be chemically bonded to the front surface of a tooth. They are a fast and safe way to fix aesthetic problems affecting the front teeth, including permanent staining, crooked teeth, badly spaced teeth, and small and deformed teeth.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL OUR DEAR PATIENTS ...

Health Sec. Duque recently announced that dentists can resume operations but with strict health compliance. With that in mind, we are sorry to announce that OUR CLINIC IS NOT YET COVID- READY. Numbers of covid + are rising, most are asymptomatic and there is no serious mass testing yet and we have to treat everyone as PUM's even after triaging procedures. The PDA came up with protocols and proper clinic set-up to ensure the safety of everyone. Please allow us time to modify our clinic and to purchase necessary equipments like filters, proper ppe's, suctions etc; which are hard to come by because of limited supply, lacking manpower and restricted movement brought about by the ECQ. Most of our procedures are aerosol generating thus careful modifications and adjustments are necessary to prevent cross-contamination
(we have families to think about and to care for). Please bear with us at these trying times. You can PM us if you need to consult.
Thank you.

An EMAX onlay restoration on a badly broken molar. Inlays and onlays can restore a tooth compromised by moderate decay or damage. These restorations are more comprehensive than dental fillings, but more conservative than dental crowns.

08/03/2019

Inlays/Onlays are a form of indirect restoration. This means they are made outside of the mouth as a single, solid piece, that fits the specific size and shape of the cavity. The restoration is then cemented in place in the mouth. This is an alternative to a direct restoration that is built up within the mouth.

Inlays and onlays are used in molars or premolars, when the tooth has experienced too much damage to support a basic filling, but not so much damage that a crown is necessary.

Replacement of a failed upper fixed bridge to a combination of individual crowns and a removable partial denture.

Partial dentures are typically the best option if surrounding teeth are in bad shape and likely to be replaced – and are unable to anchor a permanent bridge. They tend to work best when patients are missing numerous teeth or teeth on both sides of the mouth.

BabyBaby Bottle Syndrome or Early Childhood Caries is the rapid decay of baby teeth in an infant or child from frequent exposure, for long periods of time, to liquids containing sugars. The upper front teeth are most commonly affected.

The problem is usually caused by a baby falling asleep while nursing a bottle or while breast feeding. While the child is asleep, the sugary liquid pools around the front teeth. The bacteria living in every baby’s mouth then turns the sugars to acid which causes decay.

Common sources of liquids high in sugars are:

-A bottle containing formula, milk, soda, or juice.
-A pacifier dipped in honey.
-Breast milk.

You can help prevent Baby Bottle Syndrome by:

-Cleaning your child’s teeth daily.
-Not allowing your child to fall asleep with a bottle filled with juice, milk, or formula.
-Not allowing your child to sip on a bottle filled with juice, milk, or formula for long periods of time as a pacifier.
-Giving your child plain water when he or she is thirsty.
-Making sure your child gets the fluoride needed to prevent decay.
-Making regular dental appointments for your child beginning when their first tooth erupts.
