Tapsilog but make it Ice Cream 🍦 would you try making this at home? 🤔 Super crunchy dehydrated bits of tapa folded into thick & rich vanilla custard on a fried rice paper bowl.
* the salted caramel drizzle also has good tapa sauce added into it so the tapa echoes throughout the entire dish *
Is this too weird or something you’d try? 🤔
Recipe/Vlog on our latest IGTV!
This video is for a tv show competition but sadly, I didn’t get in. But that’s okay! Now I have a whole recipe on how to make TAPSILOG but with a major twist.
This is my first time to actually video myself cooking (vlog style) where I’m literally on the screen all the time. So please bear with me and the ugly camera angles.
The usual tapsilog comes with rice, tapa & egg. I wanted to make the usual , unusual by making it into a dessert! So this is how these 3 major components come into play into this dessert:
“TapSiLog”
- The TAPA part is introduced into the ice cream — dehydrated to preserve its crunchiness and act as salty kicks to the sweet ice cream
- The EGG component is introduced by using a frozen custard / ice cream. The eggs are an integral part in making custard which gives it a thick texture
- Lastly, The RICE element to this dish is the fried rice paper which acts as it’s bowl/wafer! Totally edible and adds a nice crunch to the entire dish.
I’m incredibly proud of this recipe so even though the camera angles and my face is on the entire time, I wanted to post it coz this took so long to conceptualize & make.
Thank you for watching!

Hello everyone ! Late for but pwede na rin naman ang ✌🏼
This isn’t exactly a roll coz we folded this into a square / rectangle so it’s more of like a dumpling/ gyo. Hmm unsure but it was delightful!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 12 pcs of rice wrapper
- a bowl of water
- atchara
- 1 large onion leek , separate whites and green cut thinly
- 1 large egg , scrambled and sliced thinly
- 2 bulbs of garlic , slice thinly
- 1 pack frozen local good tapa original
A few tips I learned while doing this!
- Make sure you use a teflon pan so it doesn’t stick. I don’t have one, baka naman . 😅
- When folding, make sure to remove as much air as possible or else it will burst while cooking (disaster!)
- do not overwater your rice wrappers. A quick dip in water is enough!
I hope you guys make this! I’m sure I will because I wanna make this even better 👌🏻
Hello everyone, and welcome to ! Today we’re making Bacsilog ✌🏼
This is super easy and yet so delicious. Probably took me about 10minutes to prepare and video the entire thing!
What you’ll need are:
- 4 pcs bacon (thick cut better)
- 1/2 cup cheez wiz
- 1/2 small can of evaporada
- 1 tbsp of knorr liquid seasoning
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 large egg
- brown rice
Seems like monday’s are my new sunday’s ✌🏼 hehe!
Hello everyone, and welcome to ! Today we’re making Spamsilog. Something super easy to do but we’re making it a little bit different.
3 key components to this dish is the teriyaki fried rice, the really thick cut cubed spam & the super creamy scrambled eggs. Nothing too fancy!
What you’ll need:
For teriyaki sauce:
- 2 tbsps of soy sauce
- 2 tbsps of mirin
- 1 tbsp of sake
- 1 tbsp of water
- 1 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of toasted sesame seeds
For spamsilog:
- 4 cups cooked brown rice
- 1 can of spam, cubed 1 1/2 inch
- 4 large eggs
- 4 tbsps of teriyaki sauce
- 4 tbsps of butter
- salt and pepper
The sweetness from the teriyaki rice will complement the crunchy salty bite of spam and the creamy scrambled eggs just hell everything bind together to make that beautiful bite !
I really hope you like this because this just reminds me of home sooo much. What food reminds you of home?
Hello everyone!
Welcome to !
Today we’re using a household staple item, Corned beef 🙋🏻♂️ Now this isn’t the traditional way of cooking your corned beef silog. I decided to switch it up a little but still sticking to the fundamentals of a SILOG meal. Which is basically rice & egg. I’ll be doing this a lot in so expect more 😅 I’ll probably be able to cook eggs in every way, lol!
So If you’re feeling a little bit bored with your regular corned beef, here’s a recipe to switch it up a bit!
What you’ll need are:
- 1 can of corned beef (any brand you prefer)
- 1 cup of brown rice
- 6 cloves of garlic
- 1 medium sized potato , peeled
- 1 bunch of spring onion
- 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar
- 2 large eggs
- Salt & Pepper
Preparation:
- Chop potatoes to medium dice or macedoine & let , finely chop garlic and spring onion
- In a pan , add oil and fry your garlic till golden brown, set aside
- In the same pan, add oil and fry your potatoes until it crisps out (~ 10mins) , add in balsamic vinegar & toss in your garlic and chopped spring onions. Set aside, this will be your topping.
- In another pan, Toast the corned beef until it is somewhat dry
- Add in 2 scrambled eggs, cover with a lid (~5mins)
- Carefully remove the sides of the corned beef fritata to release it from the pan, use another plate to turn over the pan. Gently tap to release.
- Plate with brown brown rice underneath & add in your corned beef fritata & your fried garlic potatoes on top, enjoy!
