Cyberpark 3 tops off 🏢🖐

DATEM, with Araneta Group, held a topping off ceremony for the P5-billion office and commercial tower in Araneta City, the Cyberpark 3.

In this project, DATEM worked closely with the Araneta Group to achieve its sustainable features. This is the 10th green building to be constructed by .

DATEM bagged two international accolades, namely the Innovation in Sustainable Materials of the Year - Philippines and Office Construction of the Year - Philippines awards for its sustainable project and initiative at the Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2024.

The Real Estate Asia Built Environment Awards 2024 recognized DATEM as one of the exceptional contractors in Asia for its outstanding achievements in construction and architecture, as well as recognition of innovation and sustainability in the industry.

Nurse John, of the Offices at The Galleon Project, shares his experiences as a project nurse on site primarily focused on health and wellness of employees and workers on site.

His contribution on ensuring safety in construction site was recognized when he was named as one of the Ten Outstanding Safety Practitioners by the Safety Organization of the Philippines (SOPI) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Occupational Safety and Health Center.

He says, “Pinili kong maging occupational health nurse, kasi in this field, our values are focused sa holistic preventive care and health promotion sa mga employee, worker, at sa workplace.”

Janwell is currently working as Project Manager in the Residences at The Galleon project, his 7th project in working for DATEM for 10 years. He recounted how he juggled work and being a father to his kids. “Umabot sa point na naglalakad ako mula bahay para lang makarating sa trabaho, pero hindi ako pinanghinaan ng loob. Itinuloy ko yung laban para din samin ng mga anak ko.”

For him, sympathy and empathy are important values for a leader—to wear your colleagues shoes and know when and where to intervene to inspire them to excel and improve.

In his anecdote, he shared the most touching story he heard when he was interacting with his workers—a story of how a construction worker father strived and was able to have his children finish college and help provide for the family.

“Ang sarap ng feeling na yun, na lagi kang blessed sa mga naging kasama mo, at naging tulay ka para makuha or ma-attain nung mga anak nila yung achievements na hinahangad ng mga magulang nila na nagtatrabaho ngayon dito sa DATEM.”

Along with these, an occupational health practitioner was hailed as one of the Ten Outstanding Safety Practitioners and bagged a plaque of recognition.

DATEM’s Makati Commerce Tower project won the 2024 Philippine Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards (PECCA) for the high-rise structure category.

The construction of the Makati Commerce Tower utilized 55,548 cubic meters of concrete, solidifying the structure’s safety and resilient foundations. DATEM’s precast such as slabs, walls, and stairs were vital to attaining this achievement.

Makati Commerce Tower will be one of the official nominees of the Philippines to the American Concrete Institute (ACI) International Competition during the ACI Fall Convention in the USA.

DATEM Water, a subsidiary of DATEM Inc., celebrated this year’s Earth Day with a tree planting in Barangay Vivo, Tanglan, Aklan.

The tree planting initiative aims to contribute to watersheds’ sustainability while expanding awareness among the community of the importance of collaboration in forwarding environmental stewardship, such as planting trees.

Ambassador Edgardo Espiritu congratulates DATEM on its 40th anniversary.

In his message, the former finance secretary recognized DATEM's contribution to the industry for laying opportunities and partnerships contributing to economic, social, and industrial growth through construction projects.

He also emphasized the collective effort among developers, architects, engineers, workers, and contractors who have worked together for the progress we have today.

Amb. Espiritu served in the cabinet as the Department of Finance Secretary in 1998 and was the recipient of the degree of Doctor of Laws honoris causa from the University of the Philippines in 2020.

Any work needs dedication to strive for and accomplish your goals. When she first worked at DATEM 16 years ago, Leneth admitted that she did not know much about the industry or her job back then. But with dedication, she was able to shape her career and embrace the industry she’s in.

For her, dedication “sets a person apart from others since it drives you to do your best so that even amidst challenges and setbacks, you still find ways to overcome, stay on track, and accomplish your duties.”

As the Commercial and Cost Management Department Head, she doesn’t miss speaking about this whenever her mentorship on cost management occurs.

She shares, “Dedication is best reflected by showing up no matter what, doing your best, and cultivating yourself through continuous learning and improvement to be a catalyst of change and positive attitude in the workplace.”
