Siguraduhing nakasunod ang inyong documentary entry sa mga format ng ating kompetisyon.

Mahalaga na magkaroon ng Opening Credit upang magbigay ng tamang pagkakakilanlan sa bawat dokumentaryo, madaling matutukoy ang taon, pati na rin ang mga dokumentarista na bumubuo ng produksyon.

Ang format na ito ay magsisilbing gabay para sa mga manonood at magsusuri, at makatutulong din ito sa pagpapanatili ng rekord ng bawat edisyon ng DokyuBata. Ito rin ay nagbibigay ng pagkakataon sa mga dokumentarista na makilala ang kanilang talento at kasanayan sa paggawa ng dokumentaryo sa mas malawak na publiko.

Sa konteksto ng documentary films, ang pag-gamit ng short excerpts ay posible pero importante na pasok ito sa kondisyon ng "fair use".

Maliban sa pag-acknowledge sa mga may-ari ng materyal sa paglalagay ng "Courtesy of..." na ginamit sa ating mga dokyu, importante na may "written consent/agreement" o permiso kung gagamitin ang mga larawan, musika at audio-visual clips na hindi sa inyo.

Today, the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) celebrates the birthday of our very own Council Chairperson, 𝐃𝐫. Luis P. Gatmaitan also known as ‘Doc Luis’. We are truly grateful for his dedication to creating a positive impact and promoting quality and educational content for children.

In addition to being a physician and NCCT Chairperson, Doc Luis is a highly renowned children's book author in the Philippines, having written over 70 children's books and non-fiction titles. His 𝘚𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘴 has been adapted as a musical and still staged at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

In literature and public service, he has also won several distinguished honors, including the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature and the 2003 Top Young Outstanding Men (TYOM) of the Philippines among many others.

His wisdom, kindness, and dedication are an inspiration to all of us. Here's to another year of making a difference in the lives of Filipino children.

The National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT), headed by Executive Director III Desideria Mance Atienza and Media Monitoring Section (MMS), successfully hosted a virtual 𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙪𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙨 on July 15, 2024 via Zoom.

This event brought together experts and champions from Media and Information Literacy (MIL) - related organizations, Broadcast Television Networks, and NCCT National Endowment Fund for Children’s Television (NEFCTV) grantees to discuss the Media Monitoring Scorecard (“Scorecard”), a vital tool designed to ensure the appropriateness of TV programs for children. The Scorecard is anchored on the Child-Friendly Content Standards (CFCS) and was developed with the assistance of multi-sectoral experts from the fields of media, research, psychology, and statistics.

Prof. Flordeliz L. Abanto, Director for Digital Content Creation and Development at Far Eastern University - Manila, and a key member of the Technical Working Group (TWG) behind the Scorecard, led the discussions. Her extensive knowledge provided invaluable insights into how the Scorecard can be used to evaluate and enhance the suitability of television programs for young audiences.

The dialogue highlighted the critical role of MIL advocates and expresses their dedication in ensuring that Filipino children are exposed to content that is educational, value-laden, and age-appropriate. As the NCCT continues its mission to promote child-friendly television, the insights and recommendations from this virtual dialogue plays a crucial role in shaping future strategies and initiatives of the Agency in pursuit of a child-friendlier media landscape in the country.
