THAI NOODLE SALAD RECIPE
Ingredients:
1 pack KOMEYA BIHON
1/8 cup Shiitake Mushrooms, sautéed
1/4 cup Carrots, sliced
¼ cup Cherry Tomatoes, halves
¼ pc. Bell Pepper, sliced
1 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp Leeks, sliced
1 pc Red Onion, thinly sliced
Thai Dressing:
2 pcs Labuyo
3 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 cup Oil
¼ pc Red Onion, quartered
3 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Ginger, chopped
3 tbsp Fish Sauce
1/8 cup Coconut Vinegar
1 tbsp Coconut Sugar/ Sugar
1/8 cup Lime/ Calamansi, juice
To taste Salt
To taste Pepper
Procedure:
1. Boil KOMEYA BIHON for 8-10 minutes, drain and set aside.
2. In a blender, combine vinegar, fish sauce, sesame oil, oil,
labuyo, ginger, red onion, garlic, sugar, lime, salt and pepper.
Set aside.
3. In a bowl, combine the noodles, all the remaining vegetables,
sautéed mushrooms, cilantro, leeks, and the dressing.
Mix and season according to your taste.
4. Serve at room temperature or cold.
You can whip up your own version of the THAI NOODLE SALAD served in restaurants. This one uses Komeya Bihon. Served cold or at room temperature, the refreshing meal shows the versatility and the endless possibilities of the Komeya noodle products.
With Asado as “sahog” or main ingredient, the usual pancit becomes a more savory and truly tasty dish! Komeya 3Q's delectable noodles are indeed the right match to this extraordinary meal!
KOMEYA BIHON PORK ASADO
Ingredients for Pork Asado
¼ Kg Kasim/Liempo
1 Tablespoon Calamansi, juice
1 Piece Star Anise
2 Tablespoon Gin
1 Tablespoon Garlic, sliced
¼ Cup Oyster Sauce
2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Sugar
¼ Cup Water
For Noodles:
1 Pack KOMEYA BIHON 454 grams
¼ Cup Asado Sauce
2 Tablespoon Carrots, sliced
2 Tablespoon Chicharo
1 Tablespoon Leeks, sliced
2 Tablespoon Onion, sliced
½ Tablespoon Garlic, chopped
1 Tablespoon Fish Sauce
2 Tablespoon Soy Sauce
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
PROCEDURE:
Pork Asado:
1. In a pot, combine garlic, oyster sauce,
soy sauce, gin,
calamansi, ½ cup of water, sugar, and
star anise. Bring to a boil
then turn off the heat. Cool it down
then set aside for later use.
2. Set aside half of the mixture for the
noodles, then use the
remaining half for pork marinade.
3. Marinate the pork for at least 2-4
hours or overnight.
4. Grill or roast the pork until tender.
Set aside.
Bihon:
1. In a pan, saute onion and garlic, then
add soy sauce, asado sauce
(other half of mixture), and ½ cup of
water. Bring to a boil then
simmer.
2. Add KOMEYA BIHON and mix
thoroughly. Let it simmer then
continuously mix until bihon is almost
cooked. Recover with
water if it gets dry.
3. Add carrots, chicharo, leeks, and
sliced cooked pork asado.
Mix and cook the vegetables
thoroughly.
4. After the vegetables and bihon are
fully cooked, season with
salt, pepper, and fish sauce. Serve
hot.

BOODLE FEAST WITH KOMEYA 3Q BIHON
1. For the Pancit Bihon… cut the carrot into slices
2. Slice stalks of celery
3. Slice one red onion for sautéing
4. Over at another part of the outdoor kitchen… shrimps and mussels…
5. and crab being prepared as additional dishes.
6. Of course, no feast is complete without lechon!
7. Back to the Pancit Bihon… Sauté the onions, carrots and celery.
8. You may include Baguio beans cut into one inch-long pieces.
9. Add one pot of water
10. Wait for the noodles to cook.
11. Add the Komeya 3Q Pancit noodles.
12. When the noodles have softened, mix the pancit noodles with the vegetables.
13. Banana leaves make the table truly Pinoy festive!
14. The lechon’s is the centerpiece!
15. Hot white rice
16. And now the Pancit Bihon made with Komeya 3Q Pancit noodles! Masarap talaga!
17. Mussels, shrimp, crab and grilled squid complete the boodle.

Pansit is a simple food. It is "something conveniently cooked fast." Other than that and how basic it looks, nothing appears ordinary. It is one of the most controversial and hotly debated foodstuff.
The Italians, the Arabs and even the Greeks all chorus they invented it. All arguable of course since no physical evidence proves each claim.
Luckily, the Chinese scores here with the recent discovery of the oldest documented noodle strands found in a pot in an archeological site on the yellow river that dates back 4,000 years ago!
That settles the ancient tug o' war for the starchy staple food...for now.
