Spa Design . Floor Area: 62.91sq.m (small-scale) Key Amenities: - Massage Cubicles - Sauna Rooms - Shower & Changing Rooms . Design Concept: Modern + Mediterranean + Brutalist + Minimalist . Synthesis: I envisioned the spa to have "hallowed" feel to it; the same feeling when you enter a sacred space like a church or a chapel, or any place of intimate worship. More than just a place to relax and detoxify, I liked the spa to be a place of personal renewal as if one had gone to a confession and actually feeling a heavy burden lift off from their shoulders after. The choice of interblending materials with natural characteristics as color and texture and using them as honest as possible, and the generous and strategic use of contrast and symmetry are the key elements for me to achieve the solemnity (hallowed feel) I particularly wanted for the space, while still having an inviting warmth that is a prerequisite in any wellness place such as a spa. . . #Arkatega #architecture #massage #wellness #spa #interiors
