Not the most perfect pinch pot. In fact, this one cracked in the kiln. But what I love about handbuilt ceramics are the visible finger impressions left on them, evidence that it has been held and pressed into shape by a thinking, feeling, breathing being without the aid of extra tools. We try to work towards creating pretty pieces but many times, specially these days, just the process of handling the clay and letting our palms and fingertips feel and work their way through this damp, earthy material seem enough. Enough to satisfy, soothe and give one a feeling of wholeness. The process, though often tedious, becomes just as, if not more, valuable as the outcome. I do find many wise life lessons in that 💖
