TOPNOTCH GENESIS 4
Topnotch Genesis is a program developed by Topnotch Medical Board Prep to that will help you accomplish two things:
1.) Early preparation for the med boards that will improve your chances of passing.
2.) Improve your grades and performance as a hospital clerk/intern.

Because of the significant impact of the Genesis program in the board preparation of our younger colleagues, we decided to maintain the program and *REVAMP* the program to be more responsive to the current situation of medical clerks and interns while on face-to-face of rotations.

Topnotch Genesis 4 will include:
1. Eight (8) Hour Lectures each the 12 Physician Licensure Exam (PLE) subjects with 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) to guide the discussion

2. Two (2) -hour Flash Card Discussion on each of the 12 board exam subjects that would also help you better prepare for the PLE

3. Basic and bedside skill lectures to help young clerks and interns in the patient care during their ward and or work.

4. Guazon Clinical Case Discussions and Podcast sessions on some of the must know topics which you can listen to while doing your hospital work will definitely help you in your case presentations and discussions.

5. Diagnostic examination; and Revalida Review which are exam-based learning will help you prepare for comprehensive exam and OSCE.

6. Topnotch Long Quiz per PLE subject to be given synchronously as an interactive was of testing knowledge on the 12 board exam subjects

7. Non-Cognitive lectures (i.e. How to Study, How to become a stellar clerk or intern) to prepare you not only for your rotations but also in studying for the PLE

These Topnotch Genesis components will be available through your personalized Topnotch Portal. Materials and lectures will be uploaded in tranches and will be made available throughout the period of Topnotch Genesis, and you can watch the videos or listen to the podcasts at your most convenient time.

4. Anatomy: 9 hours of detailed instruction.
Each subject includes personalized handouts, 25-item pre-tests and 25-item post-tests, and a one-hour quiz discussion to ensure you grasp the material effectively.

DEAR TOPNOTCH FRIENDS ( INCOMING FIRST YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS):

Topnotch Bootcamp will be from August 3, 2024 to September 1, 2024.

To further enhance the value of this bootcamp, we have decided to include a bonus Finals Review for Biochem, Anatomy, Physio and Histo (synchronous via zoom) in April 2025. This would involve a 100-item discussion of each of the 4 subjects (2-3 hours per subject).

Re: Topnotch Mother Goose and Mentorship Program

DEAR TOPNOTCH FRIENDS (OCTOBER 2024 BATCH):

For most enrolled students who have submitted the "requirements googleform", they have been access to the Topnotch Online Portal and enrolled in the Mother Goose (MG) Viber threads. If this is not done yet, kindly PM the Topnotch FB page. If you have just recently registered/made your payment(e.g., since July 7, 2024), take note that it would take several days for the process to be verified and completed.

Your MG will serve as your classroom advisor and will assist you in the technical aspects of the Topnotch Program. Any technical issue that you may have (e.g., access to the portal, passwords, etc.), PM your MG first via viber. Establish a friendly professional relationship with them - mga Kuya at Ate nyo ang mga yan - who will help and guide you in the Topnotch Program.

The Topnotch Mentorship Program will also be launched today, July 15, 2024, 8am. These Mentors are past Topnotch students who have been through the journey of preparing and passing the med boards. They are all volunteers who desire to pay it forward and help Topnotch MDs pass the med boards. They have been trained by us, and guided by certain educational models for mentoring (e.g., GROW model and Self-regulated Learning or SRL).

The Topnotch Mentorship Program is optional (not mandatory) and will not cost you anything extra. We highly encourage you to get a mentor especially if 1.) you feel socially isolated for the med boards 2.) you have personal issues that prevent you from fully concentrating on the med boards 3.) you desire personalized guidance on how to study for the medboards.

You can ask for a Topnotch Mentor anytime from July 15,2024 all the way to the last day of the med boards. Each mentor however can only accommodate a certain number of mentees, so we recommend that you do so as soon as possible.

For now, try to read your Anatomy and Legal Med Handout whenever you have free time. And please minimize make-up duties after august 1,2024.
