On this day, we commemorate the birth anniversary of the Colonel of the Katipunan whose name could not be erased from the history of Cavite for he led the revolt in Imus against Spaniards during the outbreak of the Revolution in 1896, 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗼 𝘆 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮.

As Scouts, let us always remember to remain valiant against the harsh trials of life, just like how this hero has fought for our country.

Today, we celebrate National Heroes Day, a time to honor the bravery and sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. These remarkable individuals dedicated their lives to fighting for our freedom and shaping the Philippines into the vibrant country we cherish today. On August 2, 2024, our Agilas commenced their 2nd wave of Donation Drive on Anakpawis, Kasiglahan.

With the goal to help those who were affected by the recent Typhoon Carina, clothes and other products handed out to the citizens of the vicinity, the donation drive was indeed a success!

We, once more thank those who have given donations to help our project gain the sufficient products needed for our goal to be achieved.

May we all continue to render service and help to those in need.

Maraming salamat po sa mga nagbigay ng donasyon sa aming asosasyon upang maitaguyod namin ang aming Donation Drive! Nawa'y patuloy tayong magkapit-bisig sa susunod na mga kaganapan tulad nito upang matulungan natin ang ating mga kapwa.

Today is the 61st Memorial Day for the 24 scouts who were the first to represent the Philippines at the World Scout Jamboree. These young people showed courage, dedication, and teamwork, making our country proud. Their legacy lives on, inspiring many to follow their path in the scouting movement.

As we remember their sacrifice and honor their memory, let us think about the values they stood for and the impact they made. Though their journey was cut short, their spirit continues to inspire and motivate us. Let's pay tribute to their contributions and make sure their legacy is never forgotten.

The Eagle Scout Association of Montalban cheerfully marked its second anniversary during its 4𝖙𝖍 𝕲𝖊𝖓𝖊𝖗𝖆𝖑 𝕬𝖘𝖘𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖑𝖞. This memorable event occurred on on July 6, 2024, at the respected 𝙎𝙖𝙣 𝙅𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡.

Scouts and a few Scouters attended the assembly with smiles ready to receive and tackle matters inside the association. At 2 PM, the program started with ES. Alenna Mae Tomas being the Lady Lean, followed by the discussion of matters by ES. Vincent P. Mayao. After certain matters were discussed, distribution of certificates was conducted, awarding those who have done well in the field of Scouting.

This momentous occasion not only celebrated two years of dedication, comradeship, and remarkable achievements but also marked a significant change in leadership. The event was a testament to the association's unwavering commitment to promoting leadership and the scout spirit among its members.

The event ended with flying colors, may our camaraderie continue and our bonds strengthen as time goes by, Agilas.

Malayo pa ang ating nais marating ngumit malayo na rin ang ating narating! Nawa'y mula sa simula hanggang sa dulo ay manatiling matatag ang asosasyon at manatiling malaki ang ating numero, Agilas!

𝟏𝟐𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲

Today, we celebrate the 𝟭𝟮𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 in front of the Municipal City Hall in San Jose with scouts from different institutions all over Montalban along with municipal personnel and the PNP.

As Scouts lined up near the City Hall, the event started at 7:40 AM with an opening program with the Philippine Flag towering and waving above the participants. An offering of flowers was made and assisted by the Rover Scouts and shortly afterward, a photo opportunity was taken, gathering all of the scouts in front of the Mayor. The ordeal was done at 8:45 AM as scouts and other participants bid farewell.

May this and the following Independence Day celebration remind us all to remain strong in the face of those who attempt to oppress us and our cultural identity. Let us rise together through all difficulties!

Sa taong ito, ipinagdiriwang natin ang ika-𝟏𝟐𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲. Ngayong araw ay isang palatandaan ng ating kagitingan laban sa ating mga manlulupig. Manatili tayong matatag sa harap ng adbersidad sa lahat ng pagkakataon. Bilang isang iskawt, tayo dapat ay panatilihin nating ang ating pagiging makabayan ayon sa ating panunumpa. Nawa'y isa-puso at isa-diwa natin palagi ang pagiging patriyotiko mga kapwa iskawts!

Isang matagumpay na pag sisilbi ang nagawa ng ating mga agila mula sa bayan ng Montalban noong 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘆𝗼 𝟬𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 na naganap ang pagsisipag tapos ng mga estudyante at kanilang pagkilala sa 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗻𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. Ang pag pasok at pag labas ng mga kulay ay para bigyang karangalan ang ating bansa. Sa pangunguna ng mga taong may katung-kulan sa bansa at sa komunidad.

𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐁𝐀𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐘!

𝘋𝘐𝘋 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘒𝘕𝘖𝘞?

It was in the early part of the year 𝟏𝟖𝟕𝟏, during the Spanish regime, when Montalban was established as a town by Padre Eustaquio, a native of Pasig. Prior to that, it was just a lonely barrio belonging to the municipality of San Mateo which presently is an adjoining town. The barrio was then called “Balite” by the natives, after the wide spreading Balite Trees that stand proudly on the banks of the Montalban River. But later on, the Spaniards changed the name to “Montalban”, from the Spanish word "𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚", meaning rock/stone and "𝘼𝙡𝙗𝙖" means white.
