Featured Plant: Monstera Deliciosa Albo Variegata
Monstera deliciosa albo-variegata is a magnificent variegated form of the species. This vine is commonly called "Split-leaf Philodendron". The species is native to Southern Mexico and Columbia. When mature it can produce an edible fruit. This is easy to grow but the variegated form is rare and slower to propagate.
Care Tips:
The monstera albo will need bright light. Place this plant in an area that receives indirect or filtered sunlight all day long.
Avoid placing the albo in direct sunlight as this will burn its leaves. The variegated pieces of the leaves are extra susceptible to sunburn.
Without enough light, your plant could eventually start to revert back to green
Our Featured Plant Today: Variegated Monstera Peru
The Monstera karstenianum variegated, also called Monstera Peru, is native to the tropical or subtropical areas of Central and South America. This type of plant has relatively thick, dark green leaves with a very interesting leaf structure.
Care Tips
Don't provide more than 1-2 hours of direct morning sun. Use a totem to make your Monstera Peru climb. Keep it away from pets and children because Monstera Peru is highly toxic if ingested.
Why Monstera Peru is expensive?
The plant's slow propagation rate, however, makes it very rare. This plant can be found with random splashes of color in many shades with no two leaves shaped the same.
Featured Plant: Monstera Thai Constellation
Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation' is an impressive, spreading, easy-to-grow and generally low maintenance plant. This cultivar produces attractive variegated leaves marbled with splashes of creamy-yellow colouring.
Care Tips:
Monstera Thai Constellation like to be in a well draining soil that is rich in organic matter. They like to be kept in a moist but not soggy soil. To achieve a well draining soil, you can add orchid bark, perlite and peat moss to a potting soil to help create drainage and aeration.
Featured Plant: Philodendron Jerry Horne
Philodendron Jerry Horne is believed to be a natural hybrid of Philodendron bipennifolium. The leaves on this shiny aroid are long and narrow with an odd wing like section extending out from the mid portion of the leaves. The back lobes are also narrow and long with the petioles green in color.

DID YOU KNOW?
Aside from some being able to generate their own heat, aroids also have the amazing ability to be propagated in water. The ancestors of this family were lowland swamp-dwelling plants. The swamps would frequently flood, and so selective pressure for plants that could withstand their roots being temporarily flooded. The plants that survived these floods became the ancestors of all aroids we can see today, and have passed down that ability to grow roots in water. The waxy leaves and thick waxy roots are adaptations that resist too much water from going inside the plant at any time. Any aroid has the capacity to root in water. When propagating, be aware that water is devoid of nutrients. Just because you can propagate in water, doesn’t mean you should keep it in water forever. The plant will not grow as well as if you planted it in soil.

Philodendron Burle Marx
The Philodendron Burle Marx plant is named after Roberto Burle Marx. Burle Marx was the first architect to use native plants in modern landscape designs.
The Philodendron Burle Marx’s care is like most other Philodendrons. They need well-draining soil and bright indirect light. And their soil should always be moist but never drenched.
