It progresses through three stages: localized (confined to the prostate), locally advanced (spread beyond the prostate but still connected), and metastatic (spread outside the prostate).

The exact cause is unclear, but risk factors include age (50+), family history, and a high-fat diet. Symptoms may consist of blood in semen and urine, leg swelling, pelvic discomfort, trouble urinating, and bone pain.

Treatment options include radiation therapy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, or prostate removal. Prevention involves a balanced diet, regular exercise, avoiding smoking and excessive alcohol intake, and regular check-ups.

๐—–๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฐ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ is a leading cause of death for children and adolescents.

Cancer can affect people of all ages, starting with genetic changes in cells that grow into tumors, which can spread, cause harm and death if untreated. Unlike cancer in adults, the vast majority of childhood cancers do not have a known cause and very few of them are linked to environmental or lifestyle factors.

Since childhood cancer cannot typically be prevented, early detection and prompt, effective treatment are crucial for better outcomes. Correct diagnosis and timely care improve survival rates, reduce suffering, and lower the need for intensive treatment. Management of childhood cancers is usually by a combination of the different modalities of treatment (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy), coordinated by a team of experts including pediatric oncologists, surgeons, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and others who assist children and their families.

You can make a difference. Support Childhood Cancer Awareness.
