Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels in all public and private schools in the City of San Fernando today, September 17, 2024—allowing the conduct of online or any applicable alternative learning modality.

PAGASA, in its 2:00 AM bulletin today, reported that Tropical Depression has made landfall in Palanan, Isabela, and is now in the vicinity of Cauayan City, Isabela.

The Province of Pampanga is currently placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 and possible threats include strong winds.

Caluag continues to place a high priority on student safety in the wake of the possible effects of and through the CDRRMC, the City is prepared for the delivery of response to disasters and calamities, basic and health services, and performance of other vital services.

In relation to this, the extension of the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels in public and private schools in the city until tomorrow, September 5, 2024, has been ordered by Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, in order to protect the learners from the possible threats.

As previously implemented, this order likewise permits the conduct of online or any applicable alternative learning modality so as not to hamper the students' education.

A very informative and productive session was given by the 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 to the students of Pandaras Integrated School High School Department as one of their projects under the partnership program established between UA and P*S.

The students have learned a lot about effective study habits that will help them navigate academics in a more efficient manner. The high school student body is grateful to Sr. Marissa for spearheading the activity, which was facilitated by Sir Sandico, Ms. Valencia, Ms. Des, Sir Yves, Ms. Tricia, and Sir Justine.

"Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya, ating ipagdiwang ang yaman ng ating wika na nagbibigay lakas at boses sa bawat Pilipino. Ang wikang Filipino ay hindi lamang daluyan ng impormasyon kundi isang simbolo ng ating pagkakakilanlan at kultura. Magsama-sama tayo sa pagyabong ng ating wika at sa pagtangkilik sa mga lokal na diyalekto upang mapanatili ang ating kasaysayan at pagkakaunawaan. Kaisa ang Pandaras IS sa pagpapalawak at pagpapaunlad ng wikang Filipino.
