In line with the month-long Children's Month Celebration 2023 with the theme "Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the right to life for All," the City Agriculture and Veterinary Office conducted Lakbay Bulilit on November 29, 2023, at the City Nursery and Livestock Multiplier Farm, Barangay Lara, CSFP.
Lakbay Bulilit is a program that introduces Fernandino culture to ECCD children through learning and fun activities. This year, CAVO initiated working more on Lakbay Bulilit so that they may enjoy the experience of planting further by exploring the area for a greater amount of time. The ECCD learners left with an increased appreciation for the planting and went through the parents, who held together with their children.
Young Learners from the ECCD Centers of Pulung Bulu, Telabastagan, San Pablo, Baliti, and Lara benefited from the CAVO Lakbay Bulilit 2023.
A 2-Day Training on Assessment for Pre-School Learners for Child Development Workers/Teachers was facilitated by the Early Childhood Care and Development Section in partnership with the City College of San Fernando, Pampanga with Dr. Rosalie Perez-Cayabyab as the resource person last November 28-29, 2023 at the Conference Rooms of the Command Center and of the Youth Development Center both located at the Civic Center, Brgy. Del Rosario, City of San Fernando (P) which served as training venues.
The said training was attended by Acting CSWD Officer, Ms. Canneth C. Mangalus who delivered her message during the preliminaries. The CCSFP technical working group headed by their Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Engagements, Dr. Melanie V. Briones was also present during the training.
The highlight during the first day was the discussion of theories, technical terms, content and the administration of the ECCD checklist among early learners. While on the second day, the focus of the topic was the workshop on how different types of assessment or evaluation may be done with different topics assigned per group.
At the end of the training, present during the awarding of certificates were ECCD Unit Supervisors; Ms. Mariconne Krizette R. Ga, Ms. Charlene Joy R. Dungca, Ms. Myra A. Sandiongco to award Ms. Cayabyab for sharing her invaluable expertise on the said topic. Meanwhile, she also joined during the awarding of certificates for the Child Development Workers/Teachers who participated during the 2-day training.
A great starting point in motivating ECCD young Fernandino children to develop their skills and dream about their future. Furthermore, through this experience, CCSFP students gain confidence in sharing their ideas, information, and learnings with the Fernandino community via eccd parents.

As part of the month-long activities for the Children's Month Celebration this year, the City Health Office in partnership with the Early Childhood Care and Development under the City Social Welfare and Development Office facilitated earlier today the conduct of the Tibay ng Dibdib activity for selected ECCD children along with their parents or guardians in various ECCD learning centers located in barangays CDCs of San Jose, Baliti, Camp Olivas, Alasas, and Northville 1 and Northville Extension.
Tibay ng Dibdib is a true to life storytelling to day care children which focuses on the importance of health seeking behavior of a family lived in a rural area.
The objective of the said activity is to help prevent and to control the occurrence of illnesses specially tuberculosis.

Health services play an essential role in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and achieving global goals of child well-being. Children, especially those under ECCD age, love to play. You'll see them play pretend. They enjoy playing doctor with friends, toys, parents, or older siblings.
The City Health Office, through the Rural Health Unit, helps children experience different social roles by pretending to play as health service providers with other children, health worker staff, and RHU physicians. It also helps them learn the importance of taking turns, sharing responsibility, and knowing when to lead and when to follow. and provide children with certain equipment that will make his imaginary games more realistic.
On November 17, 2023, 50 children from various ECCD facilities closest to the Rural Health Facilities and Birthing Stations in San Fernando, Pampanga, were provided with an enjoyable learning experience.

The City Health Office (CHO) of the City Government of San Fernando, Pampanga organized anseminar titled "Safe Measures for Safe Kids: Child Injury Prevention" at the Mini-Con Heroes Hall last November 16, 2023.
50 ECCD Fernandino Children and their parents from various barangay Child Developement Center facilities are welcomed to the aforementioned event to reinforce their roles as parents in ensuring protection and nourishment for their young children.
City Health Officer Dr. Rowensa Salas advocated for the initiatives of our Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag to empower parents in their responsibilities.
In addition, private sector partners organizations supports the aformentiined event provided the participants with first aid kits and medicines.

In line with Pampanga Provincial Government EO No. 38-2023. November 20, 2023 (Monday), the ECCD-CSFP will deliver a Center-Based Program in an Alternative Venue (CBPAV).
EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 38 - 2023
Suspension of face-to-face classes in all levels in public and private schools in the Province of Pampanga on November 20, 2023 due to the nationwide transport strike and encouraging online/modular classes or any alternative learning delivery modality applicable.
As part of a month-long Children's Month celebration, promote children's healthcare and nutrition with the theme "Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All."
The Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC) held a National Play Advocacy Week 2023 Kick-off Day in Pampanga on November 15, 2023, at Benigno Aquino Hall, Capitol Compound, CSFP.
The aforementioned children's program is attended by sixty ECCD children and their parents from the Child Development Centers Sto Nino and San Juan 1 in City San Fernando, Pampanga. The activity highlights children's rights to play and enjoy their early childhood development under the supervision of their parents, guardians, teachers, and duty-bearers.
The City Health Office organized a Mental Health Psychosocial Support Training During the Disaster on November 13โ15, 2023, at the Mini Convention Hall in Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office recommends the 11 ECCD child care providers, who are also designated as camp managers during disasters, be part of the aforementioned training. With this, they would consistently learn vital information and abilities in the field of mental health and psychosocial support as a result of the training, allowing them to better serve the community and assist people facing mental health challenges during disasters.

Day Care representatives from various municipalities and cities in Pampanga participated in the Provincial Day Care Children's Month Celebration dated November 16, 2023, held at SM Pampanga.
As an expression of support for Children's Month 2023, which has as its theme "Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All," the ECCD children of City San Fernando, Pampanga, participate in the Provincial Day Care Children's Congress. Their artistic endeavors include collaborative copy and color, poem recitals, and solo singing. Our ECCD Fernandino Kids Dancers also spread cheer and vibrancy to the event in a dance intermission.
The children attending the daycare demonstrated their abilities in a variety of PSWDO-sponsored competitions; one of the Fernandino children from Juliana Child Development Center placed second in the copy and color competition. In addition to this, children also participate in a poetry recital and solo singing. This is one method by which CSFP encourages a child to enjoy his childhood and become more receptive to his own capabilities. As this action signifies our regard for their welfare, we strive to ensure their happiness and imbue their early education with significance.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FERNANDINO KIDS๐
The commencement of the month-long celebrations for 2023 Children's Month, under the theme of "Healthy, Nourished, Sheltered: Ensuring the Right to Life for All," was initiated during the flag ceremony program of the City Government of San Fernando on the first Monday of November. The celebration includes Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) learners who performed their capabilities with excitement and possessed an avenue to defend their rights as children. Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag displayed her commitment to the national government's goal of promoting accessibility to vital services for children and their parents.
One of the indications of the City Mayor's administration's commitment to the well-being of children is the provision of high-quality early learning educational services for Fernandino children aged zero to four years old through a capacity-building partnership project between CCSFP and CSWDO. The project, titled "Capacity Building for Child Care Providers: Kayaduwangan king Edukasyun kareng Anak a Fernandino," equips Child Development Workers with the necessary content knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and values required for effectively working with young children.
Ms. Erminia P. Evangelista, MAEd from CCSFP, led a session for Child Care Providers on English literacy skills. The session aimed to enhance educators' knowledge and understanding of literacy in early childhood education, share effective teaching methods, and encourage active language learning.
Acting CSWD Officer, Ms. Canneth Mangalus, and Dr. Melanie Viloria-Briones, Vice President for Academic Affairs and International Engagements, both expressed their support.
