What: DEW-it YourSHELF : book shelving challenge
When: November 23, 2023
Where: CDS Library

Mechanics:
1. College and SHS students must register to join the game.
2. The library staff will give each participant a stack of disorganized books.
3. The participants will be timed while arranging the books according to their call number.
4. The first participant who finishes the shelving must raise his/her hands. The library staff will check if the books are properly arranged.
5. For every misplaced book, one (1) second will be added to the participant’s overall time.
6. The fastest participant who arranged the books will be the winner.
7. The winner will receive a cash prize and consolation prizes will be given to other participants.

What: Book Spine Poetry Contest
When: November 22, 2023
Where: CDS Library

Mechanics:
1. Faculty members, non-teaching personnel, and students of CDS must register to join the contest.
2. Each participant is allowed to submit one (1) entry only.
3. The participants must only use the books in the library.
4. A minimum of 3 books must be used to create a book spine poem.
5. All entries will be posted in the page of CDS Library.
6. All entries will be judged and winners will receive a cash prize.

RULES:
1. Grab some books (at least 3).
2. Stack them up.
3. Artistically arrange the books so the titles make a poem.

The Academic Booksellers Association of the Philippines (ABAP) is inviting you to the 24th Philippine Academic book fair event on May 10-12, 2023. The event is being held at Megatrade Hall 2, 5th Level, Mega B, SM Mega Mall.

The ABAP Book Fair Is an annual exhibition featuring academic books and digital references to improve the community's reading culture and raise awareness on reading habits in all levels and ages of people.

A library orientation was held on February 1st to familiarize our 11th grade Senior High School students with the resources, services, facilities, and policies of the library.
We appreciate your active participation in our orientation.

Please be guided that the enrollment for Second Semester of SY 2022-2023 will only be from January 04 to 13. The one-stop enrollment hub at the CDS Agora (SP Building) will officially operate starting January 05.

Meanwhile, releasing of report cards for SHS and College will be on January 09.

Official Classes will commence on January 16, 2023. Make sure that you are included in the G-classrooms for all enrolled subjects.
