I thought I was empowering all these 50+ women participants to unleash their creative juices, but unknowingly they have empowered me in return.

“GOLDEN YEARS”

It is such an honor to paint a gift for the 50th wedding anniversary for my friend’s Auntie and Uncle. Sa panahon ngayon, napakahirap na ma-achieve ang 50 years, ano? Talagang GOLD! Hindi naman ako love or marriage expert, pero sa tingin ko ang sikreto sa bawat relasyon para magtagal ay HUWAG KANG BIBITAW. Hawak kamay lang, pwede umiyak, magalit, pero wag na wag kang susuko. Kapit lang. 🤝

Ako pala si Aiman, I use acrylic paint as medium. Started on art as therapy for my unstable mental health during the pandemic. When I posted my artwork, I had inquiries if they could buy it. And so my passion for commissioned artworks started September of 2021. I usually do anatomy and flowers, but I step out of my comfort zone depending on client’s request. Dalawang taon na ang nakalipas, malayo pa sa inaasam na pangarap, pero malayo-layo na din ang narating. 🥹

Do you know that we, physicians follow code of ethics which one code states that: A physician shall waive his professional fees to a colleague, his or her spouse, children and parents who are financially dependent on him?

So, my fellow doctors came up with an idea of gifting them with paintings instead.

Painting this denim jacket took a looonnggg while, because my client friend asked me to paint a family picture. And for those of you who personally know me, I openly say that I am not confident to paint faces. Buti na lang I was able to grab their family picture from her husband’s account (hi Jay! 😊), do an abstract painting out of it, and surprised Cria with the design. 😅

Are you also guilty of making your Longchamp bags your “harabas” bags?? Well, I am! 🙋🏼‍♀️ It is lightweight, waterproof and stylish too. Kaya siya well-loved.

For our mentors, Dr. Denky Dela Rosa, an IM-Oncologist, with subspecialization in Dancing. Joke lang po Ma’am. Huhu. And Dr. Sue Ann Locnen, an IM-Cardiologist, with subspecialization in Writing and Mowdeling. (joke lang Ma’am, diba kasi sabay tayo nagmowdel-mowdel sa Heatstroke 😂😂😅) Sana po nagustuhan n’yo. 💖💖💖

This is an older version of the endoscopy machine, less compact and heavier than the latest version pero ito daw ang naging puhunan at bumuhay sa aking client/friend na IM-Gastroenterologist during early years of his practice. Ito ang machine na ginagamit nila ‘pag sinisilip kung may diperensya sa inyong gastrointestinal tract. Bahala na kayo mag-isip kung saang butas ba pinapasok. Joke lang po. 🥲😅

My artwork is currently displayed at BMMG’s (Bulacan Medical Mission Group Cooperative Hospital) Endoscopy Unit. 🥹

My client/friend, a Pediatrician and also a medical academe, asked me to paint children playing Pinoy traditional game of luksong tinik at nagtatampisaw sa batis, surrounded by vegetable garden. Ang sarap sariwain ng kabataan, ano po? Dahil dyan, para ma-LSS kayo, mag-iiwan ako ng awitin ng Apo Hiking society…

Gusto ko bumalik sa pagiging musmos at para di na puro “judith” ng bills ang iniisip! Haha.

My client/friend, an Internist-Gastroenterologist asked me to paint the whole gastrointestinal tract, and to incorporate his hobbies, which includes the exploring the outdoors, hiking, backpacking and riding his favorite motorcycles, Royal Enfield Himalayan and Vespa Primavera. I stalked and grabbed his personal photos from his Instagram account of his travels, including the sunrise of the summit in Bali, Indonesia, climb in Mt. Pulag, and the ride in Vigan, Ilocos. Mahilig siya mag-explore ng kahit ano mapa-gastrointestinal tract or kahit anong lugar, in short.

Symbolic meaning of one person helps another person by holding his or her hand. Yung parang kaya mo na gawin ang akala mo di mo kaya dahil meron ka ng best support matrix? Thank you to Breastfeeding advocates out there for empowering mothers to nourish their babies, or kahit nga minsan to aid other mothers who are not able to do so. Saludo! 🫡
