SIM CARD REGISTRATION: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. signed the Sim Card Registration Act on October 10, 2022, his first law as the country’s chief executive. It is the consolidated version of House Bill 14 and Senate Bill 1310 wherein it was first vetoed by the previous administration, citing that the law would infringe on constitutionally protected rights.

Each Telco provider has their own SIM Card registration process.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NEW LAW:
Before selling SIM cards, telco companies and direct sellers are required to ask for a valid identification document.
Registering a SIM card with false or fictitious information, using fictitious identities, or carrying out fraudulent activities will be subject to appropriate penalties.
In case of a subpoena or court order, telcos must give out SIM card owners’ full names and addresses.
People with SIM cards need to register with telcos within a certain time frame. SIM cards will be deactivated if you don’t.
Subscriber SIM cards must be kept on file by telecommunications companies. A list of authorized dealers and agents nationwide must be submitted quarterly to the National Telecommunications Commission by companies.
Telcos may be asked by law enforcement agencies to look up the owner of a SIM card when they investigate crimes committed through phones.

Before the end of the year 2022, the ACCERT Province of Rizal and ACCERT Youth/Junior in Rizal are sincerely grateful to our agency and advocacy partners for being with us in our advocacy for giving joy and love without expecting anything in return in order to serve our fellow Filipinos who need it the most.

Despite the fact that we are still dealing with the pandemic, your unwavering support and generosity allow us to make a significant impact in our community. We are able to plant more than 1,000 native and fruit-bearing trees and 500 bamboo plants in Montalban and Antipolo City. We are able to feed more than 1,000 people less and deprive individuals. We can provide more than 200 school bags filled with school supplies to deserving students. We can provide a 5 Kilo rice subsidy to each of 200 selected ACCERT members. Under the auspices of the San Mateo MPS Official Custodial Facility, we serve hot meals to 250 PDL. We provided free maintenance medicines and vitamins and conducted surgical missions that benefited more than 400 individuals. We distributed Christmas gifts to more than 150 children. We give free health and wellness services to more than 100 individuals in Taytay, Rizal. We give free haircuts to more than 500 individuals in San Mateo, Rizal. We have provided free training in tourism promotion services and call center training in TESDA to more than 100 individuals. We have volunteered in various Rizal schools for Brigada Eskwela activities as well as at municipal police stations for police community affairs and activities.

We would also like to thank the former and current directors who have made sacrifices and invested their time and energy for the greater cause and advocacy of our organization. if other people didn't see our achievements. The important thing is that God in heaven knows the goodness of our hearts and the content of our desires.

Ang ACCERT Province of Rizal ay nakiisa sa paghahanda sa paggunita ng Undas at nagbigay ng bolunterismong serbisyo kasama ang LGUs, ating Kapulisan, BFP,, MHO, Philippine Red Cross, local city and Municipal DRRMO at ibat-ibang recognize Force Multiplier sa lalawigan ng Rizal upang masiguro ang ligtas at mapayapang UNDAS 2022.

Ang ACCERT Rizal ay nagbigay serbisyo at na-assign sa mga Staging Area, Incident Command Post, Police Assistance Desk (PADs), First Aid Station, Road Monitoring and Traffic Assistance at Public Assistance Information and Dissemination.

Ang ACCERT Rizal ay laging handang mag lingkod sa ating bayan kasama ang ating Kapulisan at Pamahalaan.

My thoughts and prayers are with our fellow Filipinos who perished because of Typhoon Paeng and the thousands of families left homeless or displaced as it ravaged many parts of the country.

The initial assessment of the extent of the devastation left by Paeng is already profoundly disheartening, and recovery is expected to be a heavy undertaking — but the Marcos administration’s priority now is to provide immediate assistance to affected families.

Rest assured that government institutions and Local Government Units are working nonstop and leading emergency operations in response to the crisis brought on by Typhoon Paeng.
