We’re excited to invite you to our Blood Donation Drive this September. Your generous donation can make a critical difference in someone’s life.

Event Details:
📅 Date: September 29, 2024
🕒 Time: 8am-12noon
📍 Location: Co-Events Place (near Toms World and Cinema 6) 4th Floor Robinsons Galleria South, City of San Pedro, Laguna

Why Donate?
✅ Blood donations are vital for patients in need, including those undergoing surgeries, cancer treatments, or trauma care. Your contribution helps ensure that blood is available for those who need it most.

Qualification of a blood donor:
* Must be in good health.
* At least regular donor 50kls or 110lbs and above.
* Not anemic.
* Ages 16-65 at least, but 16-17 must have the consent of parent or guardian.
* No pre existing condition, no maintenance especially blood thinners.
* Not taking alcohol 24 hours before or a week before the date.
* No recent surgeries including dental extraction.
* No intake of paracetamol and coffee prior donating.
* Tattoos, ear and tongue piercing will be assessed.
* If coming from a foreign trip at least 6 months.
* Must have enough sleep at least 6 hrs or more.
* No need of fasting but must eat prior and avoid fatty foods.
* Other symptoms of cough, colds, rashes, open wounds must be disclosed prior to donating.
* Drink plenty of fluids before and after.
* Wear comfortable clothing

Healthy Environment for Healthy Smiles ❤️

✔️Ecobricks
- single use plastics collected by our members and placed in a plastic bottle that can eventually be recycled as bricks.
- A total of 70kg of plastic from our members was collected and turned over to the LGU collection area in exchange for Alaska Milk Powder that we will be donating to our beneficiaries at ERMA.

✔️Bawat Butil na May Tanim, May Pagasang Aanihin
- Parents of PWD beneficiaries were taught by our Eco dentistry committee on how to plant vegetables in their own garden. Seeds and planting materials were also distributed to participants.

✔️Vegetable Planting Para Kina Lola
- A self sustaining program for the Lola’s of Mary Mother of Mercy that encourages them to do gardening chores as thier daily exercise. We have planted vegetables that the lolas can take care of and look forward to harvesting the fruits of their labor.

Our Chapter President Dr. Angelica Jane V. Escasinas represents PDA San Pedro City chapter during the House of Delegates Meeting at PDA Luzon Convention.

The House of Delegates is the legislative and governing body of the Philippine Dental Association. It is a platform for dental professionals to lobby resolutions for the improvement of the association and its members.

President Dr. Angelica Jane V. Escasinas is joined by President Elect Dr. Mara Redimano during the opening processional.
