END TEETH BRUSHING STRUGGLES

👨🏻‍⚕Umpisahan nang maaga.

- The more you delay starting brushing, the more you are increasing the chance ng struggles.
- Hindi po magic ang development na biglang susulpot na lang kapag tumapak ng certain age ang bata. Kailangan ng effort to teach. Ganun din ang brushing. Wala pang ngipin umpisahan niyo nang sanayin with punas punas ng gums then paglabas ng unang ngipin brush na agad.
- Don't wait for the "terrible two" stage to arrive bago kayo magpaplanong magturo ng brushing dahil iyan ang stage na mahirap silang turuan ng new things. Ang goal niyo dapat ay maging habit na ang brushing BEFORE that stage happens. HUWAG niyong hintaying dumami ang ngipin bago magbrush!!!

👨🏻‍⚕Dalasan ang brushing.

- Ang point po is to make it a habit. It is not going to be a habit if gagawin niyo lang siya kung kailan niyo maisipan or kung kailan kayo may time. Make time for it.
- Gusto nating maassociate na siya ng bata with meals... na automatic itong iexpect kapag kakain imbes na something na pahirap na gagawin lang ng parents kapag maisipan.

👨🏻‍⚕Play a 2-minute timer song.

- Children easily get bored. + Hindi pa sila marunong mag-estimate ng time.
- Imbes na makipag-away ka sa batang bored na dahil feeling niya forever mo na binubrush ang ngipin niya, play a fun song para less boredom na tapos malinaw pa to both of you kung kailan talaga naka two minutes na.
- PS Sa mga talented, puwede rin namang kayo ang kumanta ng 2-minute song hehe. ❤️❤️❤️

👨🏻‍⚕Respect independence.

- Many kids will be around 8 years old bago nila matututunan ang brushing na talagang nakakalinis. However, way earlier than that, magpupumilit na ang iba na kaya na nila on their own. Let them do it then "check" their work. During checking, sabayan niyo na ng konting brush brush sa mga areas na hindi nalinis.

👨🏻‍⚕Pumili ng toothbrush design na aangkop taste ng bata.

- Bata po iyan. Hindi niya naiintindihan ang importance ng brushing. Make it fun.

👨🏻‍⚕Paano if hinahawakan niya ang toothbrush everytime ibabrush mo siya?

-Keep the hands busy. Lagyan ng tig isang toothbrush ang bawat kamay niya.

👨🏻‍⚕Follow "bath, book, brush, bed" routine.

- Irerelax sila ng bath and book para hindi na masyado iritable kapag brusing time na.
- As mentioned above, sanayin para alam na nila what to expect.

- Ipakita niyo na lagi niyo rin itong ginagawa.

- Kasama niyo naman ang bata sa umaga so alam niyo kung anong araw iyong extra tired na talaga ang bata para pumunta sa CR to brush.

- Sa mga batang nakakaintindi na ng reward system, puwede niyo silang bigyan ng sticker sa calender on days na sumunod sila sa brushing without stuggles... after maabot ang certain number of stickers may reward na kapalit.
- Remember na bata iyan. Not all can understand "magbrush ka para hindi masira ang ngipin mo".

🤓Consult your pediatric dentist regularly. Baka may iba pa silang tips na mabigay dahil sila naman ang experts sa ngipin ng mga bata.
🤓Anong age ba magtoothbrush? Anong toothpaste ba dapat? Ilang beses ba dapat? Lumang topic na po iyan sa child care series. Backread. Ending brushing struggles lang ang topic ng post na ito.

Happy First Birthday,Baby! Saan ang party?

Kapag lumabas na ang unang ngipin ni Baby, kailangan nang linisin ang ngipin at bibig dalawang beses sa isang araw. Bago matulog si Baby sipilyuhin ang ngipin ng may kaunting FLUORIDE TOOTHPASTE. Gaano ka-kaunti ? Ang toothpaste ay dapat 'sing liit ng butil ng bigas!

Bumisita na dentista sa unang labas ng ngipin, bago ang kanyang UNANG kaawaran.

Turuan na si Baby na uminom mula sa tasa sa kanyang first birthday. Makakatulong ito sa kanyang "sipping skills " ( paghigop) at sa kanyang mga ngipin.

Patient just had an online consultation with us last night. Photograph and radiograph was sent to us for initial diagnosis. 🤗 Today, patient visited the nearest dentist and confirmed our diagnosis. 😊

If you think that baby teeth are temporary, and therefore, not important? Well, think again.

Healthy baby teeth will usually result in healthy permanent teeth. Children who constantly drink from bottle is at higher risk of developing baby bottle tooth decay also known as "early childhood caries." It is a common problem among children under the age of five but can be avoided through awareness and prevention such as:

• Wipe your baby's gums with a clean, damp gauze pad or washcloth after feeding.

• Never let your baby fall asleep with a bottle filled with milk, juice, or soda in their mouth.

• Teach your child to drink from a cup by the age of 1 and discourage frequent or prolonged use of a training or sippy cup.

• Never give your child a pacifier dipped in anything sweet.

• Limit the amount of sweet or sticky foods your child eats.

• When your child’s first tooth appears, brush it with fluoride toothpaste and talk to your dentist about scheduling the first dental visit.

Early prevention is the key to a lifetime of good dental health. Parents play a very important role in protecting a child's teeth, and your dentist is your partner in taking care of your child's oral health. Visit your dentist now!
