Food Idea: Pansit Habhab with oyster mushrooms

Pansit habhab is a Filipino dish originating from Lucban, Quezon province. It consists of stir-fried noodles (pansit) served on a banana leaf without utensils. Diners eat it directly using their mouths, hence the name “habhab,” which means to eat voraciously. It typically includes ingredients like thin rice noodles, vegetables, meat or seafood, OR our ever-amazing oyster mushrooms. Usually paired with seasoned vinegar, It’s a popular street food known for its unique eating method and flavorful combination of ingredients.

Just like the classic adobo, it can made with chicken, pork, beef, and in this case, squid. The addition of oyster mushroom not only creates a unique texture and deeper flavor, you can also do this dish with just the mushroom for a vegan/vegetarian option.

Kimbap is a popular Korean dish, often referred to as "Korean sushi.". Typically includes seasoned rice, vegetables like carrots, cucumbers, and spinach, along with ingredients like pickled radish and sometimes meat such as tuna, spam, or cooked beef, all rolled in seaweed sheets, kimbap is an excellent quick meal.
