Just a short email. Its spring season now here in Korea and it is super sick. The outside is so refreshing and it is beginning to look a lot like the Philippines (interms of warm weather), you can survive with a short sleeves on and just your tie. ⁣

While I am thinking what to compose this week I just wanted to say that everything will not happen according to what you've planned and you will make a mess sometimes and thats fine. Do your best everyone and at somepoint, you'll be rewarded.

"Crosses We Take"⁣

As much as I'd love to share my thoughts about the amazing general conference, this email is long overdue! Let me take you back a few weeks ago during Holy Week. I happened to be serving in an area with rich culture specially during Holy Week. There were parades and portrayals about the Savior’s suffering and how he died on the cross. It was my first time to witness how people really did show penance in ways they know (bloody way btw). There were blood all over their bodies and they carried crosses under the scourging heat of the sun! As I witnessed such, a thought came to my mind. After all, we all have crosses to take. Each cross is unique for us individually. As we move forward with our discipleship, we take up those crosses. Those crosses could mean our 1. worldly desires 2. personal dilemmas 3. consequences of previous mistakes..etc. No matter what those crosses are, I know that the Savior has suffered that for us. He knows our pains. He understands us. He was lifted up upon the cross so we could live. ⁣

Matthew 16:24⁣

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.⁣

Prolly not the most ideal missionary photo in my email but tis’ the only one that goes with the title plus this one's candid so …⁣

"Nourishing the Soul"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
After Jesus’s Apostles died, there was a widespread falling away from the gospel and Church of Jesus Christ. During this time, people changed many gospel teachings. People also changed priesthood ordinances, such as baptism. Priesthood authority and the Church that Jesus had established were no longer on the earth.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
There is hunger in the land, and a genuine thirst– a great hunger for the word of the Lord and an unsatisfied thirst for things of the Spirit…. The world is starved for spiritual food. Ours is the obligation and the opportunity to nourish the soul”. Teaching that is nourishing To the soul uplifts others, builds their faith, and gives them confidence to meet life's challenges.⁣⁣

안녕하세요 여러분! 저는 지금까지 한국 와드 봉사하고 있습니다. 잔짜 재미 있어요. Anyways, kamusta buhay lahat kayo? Haha. This week has been a miracle. We have a baptism for this week, her name is 이원자 (Lee Wonja) 자매님. She is a 76 yo Korean who desired the gospel at this stage of her life. She is fun to be with and loves the missionaries.⁣

Ansan is a great area, my first Sunday in a Korean ward is both fun and terrifying haha. But I am loving it. Slowly learning the language, just enough to carry a simple introductory conversation and a little getting to know. While looking back at things I can still remember rushing to learn everything, doing it and ends up not learning at all. While I was studying I had an article from Elder Uchtdorf which says "Therefore, it is good advice to slow down a little, steady the course, and focus on the essentials when experiencing adverse conditions. If life and its rushed pace and many stresses have made it difficult for you to feel like rejoicing, then perhaps now is a good time to refocus on what matters most." Its a good sign that you want something because you want to progress and be a better. Just be careful or rather be aware, everything has their own pace and timing. You can do something about it but you can't ever force. Pulot of the week everyone. ⁣

Thank you for your emails and see you. Onto the next one.

“Essential to the plan [of salvation] is our Savior, Jesus Christ. Without His atoning sacrifice, all would be lost. It is not enough, however, merely to believe in Him and His mission. We need to work and learn, search and pray, repent and improve. We need to know God’s laws and live them. We need to receive His saving ordinances. Only by doing so will we obtain true, eternal happiness.…⁣

What is up everyone, hope everything is good with you all, and if incase transfers happened, everything went well. I got transferred to Ansan, an area way south of our Mission, I am not living in Seoul anymore, which makes it fun, actually. Everything is different here in the South, it's much more cheap, way less fancier and a different mood for missionary work. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
My last area which is SEB taught me a lot of things. SEB is one of my best area, the members there are the best. I really miss them now so bad. I am praying for them everyday and hope that we can see each other again but probably had my worst time as a missionary in my last area. Some people in this email list knows why haha, either I've served with them or I chitchat it with them. Those hard times does taught me something that I wouldn't (for sure) learn in other pleaces or time. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
As a missionary or as a normal Human being, life will be hard. The atonement would be useless if its easy and faith wouldn't work. There will be some time that the spirit won't be felt by us and that is okay. Hard times are there to shape us. I learned it bigtime there. For you all in this email who is suffering right now or in a dilemma, think celestial and just enjoy life, "easier said than done? Right?" I also said that on my hard times but as I think about it, I just wasted my time thinking about being stress instead of seeing the people that I need to love. Everytime we open our eyes, I know that we can find someone or something that will make us happy and make is love. It will happen because God will provide it. We can still be down while doing our best but that is fine and we can do it.⁣⁣⁣⁣

"What is Joy?"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Joy?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Part of our precious legacy—to be remembered and renewed—is that though deepening trials throng our way, we know that our afflictions can be consecrated to our good. ⁣⁣
Good can come from trouble. Trauma can enliven the heart and enrich the soul. Clouds do have silver linings, and the leaf will burst again on the dry branch. “Weeping may endure for [the] night,” sang the psalmist, “but joy cometh in the morning.”(Ps. 30:5.)⁣⁣
My dear sisters, the daily work of the Lord involves changing hopeless to hopeful—for all of us. And it is for us to find at last that in the midst of winter we have within us an invincible summer. In a world filled with adversity we can reach for joy.⁣⁣

"Towards Temperance"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Doctrine and Covenants 12:8 ⁣

And no one can assist in this work except he shall be humble and full of love, having faith, hope, and charity, being temperate in all things, whatsoever shall be entrusted to his care.⁣

Two of my favorite times to ponder about things are 1.) during personal study 2.) composing an email. As you all know, mission life is always eventful. So much could happen in a day; moreso in a month. With all the mind-blowing, soul-wrenching, and heart-warming experiences I had for the past month, I learned about temperance; one of the Savior’s divine attribute. ⁣

Temperance could be defined in so many ways per se. Commonly it is associated with moderation, abstinence, and restraints. What stood out to me about this attribute is self-mastery and control. Learning this divine attribute has helped me set aside so many things in my life. No one would best illustrate temperance except Jesus Christ himself. We are to follow his example through self-mastery of all things that are entrusted to us, restraining from so much devotion to worldly cares, and briddling all our passions and personal self interests to fully serve the Lord with all that we are. I have seen marvelous blessings and miracles that come from learning and living with temperance. It brought me peace and joy in my service to my master. I know you too could experience the power of temperance in your daily lives if you consciously chose to develop it. ⁣

Hello Everyone! How's your week?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Last week we had a Mission tour with Elder and Sister Revillo. And one of the thing that stands out to me is the famous phrase that we always share or hear “ENDURE TO THE END” or in literal meaning in tagalog is “Magtiis Hanggang Wakas” but Sister Revillo translated it as “MANATILING TAPAT HANGGANG WAKAS” ⁣⁣
Why? Because “Magtiis hanggang wakas” sounds like we are forcing ourselves to do the things the Lord commanded us to do. ⁣⁣
But NO! We are Enduring Because we love our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Let us go back to the talk of President Russell M. Nelson in October General Conference “Thinking Celestial!”⁣⁣
As you focus on thinking celestial, expect to encounter opposition…⁣⁣
As you think celestial, your heart will gradually change…⁣⁣
As you think celestial, you will find yourself avoiding anything that robs you of your agency…⁣⁣
As you think celestial, you will view trials and opposition in a new light…⁣⁣
As you think celestial, your faith will increase… ⁣⁣
Make thinking Celestial as your/our greater perspective. Let us always think of Celestial in enduring till the end! (Mnatiling Tapat wakas hanggang wakas!)⁣⁣

Be thou humble…⁣

For our pday today, me and my comps decided to museum hop with one of the most famous museum here in Korea. Well it is name National Museum and then we went on this one room where there is a free showing of like Korean history and suddenly, this idea came into my mind. I posted this awhile ago on my social medias and also prompted to share it again. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Indeed we will never have today again. The stressful life, the pain of thinking about our investigators and why they are not progressing. The stress of our area, members and other factors that hinders us on becoming happy. This may also includes the happy moments that we have, the love that you've given, the scriptures that you read or the prayers that you've said. Whatever it may be, we will never have today again. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I remember my experience one time at a meeting with my highschool buds, It was a hot blazing day and my eagerness to go home is really great, I felt the boredom so bad that waiting for the meeting to end is not anymore an option, I never really seek the beauty that resides on that occasion. When all the meetings was done and the school year was cut due to covid, I realize that what I was having is the best time of my school life. I wish I cherish more those times. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Well never know what tommorow may hold so we really tend to think about it, but what matters more is what we do now to prepare for it and this is what mattereth for me, the things we do to enjoy today and make it the best times of our lives. We can never go back, we can only look back, hopefully when we look we smile.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Thank you for your emails everyone, have a good week⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Also an update with the transfers, I'll be moving to Ansan, its way south of our mission. New comps is Elder Lee, a native.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Shout out to the Filipinos in Seoul English/Filipino Branch. Da best po kayo! And also to my ka district that is going home this week! ⁣⁣

Hello everyone!⁣⁣⁣
Here's my entry!⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
We don't need to experience all just for us to learn, sometimes we need to learn from others' experiences.⁣⁣⁣
Our experiences in life whether it is good or bad doesn't determine who we are now, but it is about How you use the Atonement of Jesus Christ in your life, and to your experiences in life?⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
In Alma 7:11&12 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.---- Jesus Christ Himself, He suffered for us, all we need to do is to use the Atonement in a Righteous way. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣

"Nosebleed"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Hello, everyone! How are you? This past couple of weeks have been rough haha. I thought serving 2 missions is great until it gets really tough (if that makes sense haha). I was thinking maybe of a lot of things, being reassigned for almost half of your mission, then transitioning to something really different is hard. Same goes for probably all of us because a neighboring move or just a transfer can feel like a different world 🌎 sometimes. While at it, I just realized how dealing with the negative things brings us down to the point where we feel like it is impossible to even arise anymore. On my email this week I just want to express opening up what we feel to the people around us where we can put our trust. Mission life is fun and exciting, it can really change our lives. ⁣

Transfer week is next week and I am looking forward on it. We might get transferred or stay. My current area is still the English Filipino Branch and we are really having good time here. Members are kind. We are finding people to teach and just grinding what we can do here. ⁣

Thats it for my week. May God be with you everyone. I am praying for you all.⁣

Hello everyone! How's your week?⁣

Here's my entry!⁣

From the Book of Mormon, you probably know that Nephi was a great leader and prophet. But how much do you know about Nephi’s faithful older brother, Sam? He wasn’t a leader or prophet like Nephi, but he didn’t need to be just like Nephi to be good enough.⁣

1. Sam was believing. He chose to believe the words of his brother, Nephi, and he acted on those beliefs.⁣

Nephi prayed and got an answer for himself that the Lord had commanded their family to depart into the wilderness. And Sam “believed in [Nephi’s] words” (see 1 Nephi 2:16–17). Sam may not have had a perfect testimony. He might have had questions. But he chose to believe in the words of his brother, and then he acted on his beliefs. Don’t compare your faith or testimony to other people’s. As you act in faith like Sam did, your testimony of the Savior will grow little by little. (See also Doctrine and Covenants 46:13–14; Alma 32.) ⁣

2. Sam was humble. Laman and Lemuel were not happy that their younger brother, Nephi, was becoming a leader over them. But Sam, who was Nephi’s older brother as well, must have been humble. He supported Nephi.⁣

He listened to Nephi and followed his advice (see 2 Nephi 5:3–6). If others around you are asked to lead and you are not, be humble. ⁣

Support them, learn from them, and do your best to choose the right. ⁣

3. Sam was patient. He went through some hard times.Sam was no exception.Laman and Lemuel even hit him with a rod, like they hit Nephi! Sam patiently endured his trials.⁣

(See 1 Nephi 3:28; 1 Nephi 7:6.) Going through hard times doesn’t necessarily mean you’re doing something wrong. Don’t compare your trials to other people’s. Be patient, and trust in the Lord. He will help you through.⁣

4. Sam was blessed. He may not have been a leader or prophet, but he still faithfully followed Jesus Christ, and he was blessed for it.⁣

Sam’s father, Lehi, told Sam, “Thou shalt be blessed in all thy days” (2 Nephi 4:11). With the Savior’s help, he was good enough. And you can be too.⁣

In the Book of Mormon, it would have been easy for Sam to compare himself to his brother Nephi, who was a prophet and leader. But here’s how Sam reacted.⁣

Don't compare yourself like there’s someone always better than you.⁣

"The Savior Jesus Christ would want you to See, Feel, and Know that Hes is your Strength. That with His help, there are no Limits to what you can accomplish, that your Potential is Limitless. He would want you to See Yourself the way He Sees you, and that is very different from the way the world sees you" - Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf⁣

"See you'll next cycle🌻🌻"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Our mistakes and shortcomings will sometimes cause us regret or pain. This is part of our mortal experience—often the consequences of our choices. But if we refuse to let our shortcomings discourage us, these mistakes can be a great teacher. Failing to always live up to the best version of ourselves is not a sign of being defective—it’s a sign of being part of the human family. Failure is the price we have to pay to get better⁣

-Blessed by the Atonement of Jesus Christ⁣

Failure is a part of learning. We should never give up the struggle in life. You Fail not because you are destined to fail, but because there are lessons which you need to learn as you move on with your life.⁣

WEEKLY 📧 EMAIL from Elder Paulo Josh Coronado

"Panda Bear 🐻 🐻‍❄"⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Hello Everyone! How was your weeks. Greatful for your prayers and your emails aswell. I am hyped and happy here in Korea. The work is obviously not the same compared in the Philippines but every country has its own needs. We are where we are needed. I am adjusting a ton as usual and as ofc. I feel down sometimes, felt that my efforts are not enough specially being a DL here in my 2nd transfer. My district mates are just all great great missionaries and I love them. I love my comps too. But sometimes, somethings doesn't just make sense and it kinda like reminding me of when Moroni wrote an epistle to Pahoran. To make the long story short, Moroni wrote Pahoran something in a really rude way for something that Pahoran didn't do and I love how Pahoran response to it. Pahoran responded in a way that I was amazed, it was a perfect description of humility and trust to Moroni by Pahoran and then he said this in Alma 61:9 and 14 Which says "9 And now, in your epistle you have censured me, but it mattereth not; I am not angry, but do rejoice in the greatness of your heart. I, Pahoran, do not seek for power, save only to retain my judgment-seat that I may preserve the rights and the liberty of my people. My soul standeth fast in that liberty in the which God hath made us free." "14 Therefore, my beloved brother, Moroni, let us resist evil, and whatsoever evil we cannot resist with our words, yea, such as rebellions and dissensions, let us resist them with our swords, that we may retain our freedom, that we may rejoice in the great privilege of our church, and in the cause of our Redeemer and our God." Sometimes the reality will slap us ( and Idk why I use the Moroni to Pahoran analogy). It is not how we we're slap matters, but for how we react when we get slapped. I just think that Pahoran react in the most awesome way I can think off. Also in missionary work, we will get slapped after doing all that we can but thats life, but always remember to react in a way that you wont regret it. ⁣

Thank you for your emails and have a fun amazing week! ⁣
