Went to a Sun Life client service center to pay for my client’s initial premium (initial payment as required for the completion of an application).

Saw different faces with various concerns. There was a client who came to pay for her annual premium, another client who was inquiring on how to revive her lapsed policy, and an elderly couple asking about how they can apply for an insurance with dividends.

But what caught my attention the most is the other old client who also went to the office to claim a death benefit. He politely told the guard na “𝗦𝗶𝗿, 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗸𝗼 𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺..” and then he was instructed to line up.

I really felt sad and happy at the same time. Sad because of the lost life but also happy because that person who just died didn’t die for nothing. May iniwan sya para sa pamilya nya. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗻𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. This makes me appreciate my role even more, how noble our jobs are as financial advisors, and how beneficial it is for someone to prepare a secured future for his/her family.
