Experiencing Japan's rich culture and beauty through its festivals has been nothing short of magical! From the delicate dance of ocean waves to the rhythmic beats of taiko drums echoing through the streets, every detail filled me with astonishment.

Carrying the Suifu Chochin lanterns for 2 hours and witnessing the enchanting, colorful night of festivals added an unforgettable layer to my experience. Tasting authentic Japanese dishes and watching my first Kaitenzushi carrying delectable sushi has been a delightful journey for my senses.

I'm deeply grateful for these moments of connection and the incredible hospitality embodying Japan's spirit. The generosity and support from Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. have enriched this cultural exchange journey, making it even more memorable. Their support played a pivotal role in immersing myself in these beautiful traditions and landscapes. Here's to many more beautiful experiences in this land of endless discovery! 🍣🏮 🇯🇵✨

Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. (HCCCI) proudly participated in the 50th Annual General Assembly, Book Fair, and Seminar-Workshop organized by The Academic Libraries Book Acquisition Systems Association (ALBASA), Inc., held from July 16-19, 2024, at the Vivace Events Center, Cebu Ocean Park, SM Seaside Complex, Mambaling, Cebu City.

With the theme "From Tradition to Transformation: Libraries Shaping the Future Through Innovation and Resilience," the event attracted over 80 member institutions from Visayas and Mindanao. ALBASA, a non-stock, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting academic libraries, hosted this dynamic 3-day book fair. HCCCI, a valued member since 2019, engaged in selecting and acquiring essential library materials from more than 23 book partners.

The event featured a diverse array of activities, including a business meeting, seminar-workshop, fellowship night, and benchmarking sessions. These activities offered invaluable opportunities for professional development, networking, and resource acquisition. HCCCI's Executive Vice President, Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM, and librarian Rosecil S. Bayot, RL, represented the institution, emphasizing their commitment to advancing library resources, fostering innovation, and building a collaborative academic community.

The participation of HCCCI in this significant event highlights the institution's dedication to enhancing its library offerings and contributing to the future of academic libraries.

Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. proudly participated in the Building Indigenous Knowledge for Inclusivity and Sustainability (BIGKIS) Conference at Bukidnon State University from July 4-5, 2024. Organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), this event aimed to enhance the understanding and appreciation of Indigenous Peoples' culture within Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the Philippines.

The BIGKIS Conference provided a platform for HEIs to showcase best practices in implementing Indigenous Peoples (IP) Studies, facilitating intercultural dialogue between educators, students, and Indigenous communities. It also offered technical support for documenting and producing Indigenous literature and explored alternative platforms for IP education through music, arts, and cultural performances.

Representing Holy Child Central Colleges, Inc. were our Executive Vice President, Mrs. Vanessa Marie L. Antiquin, MMEM; Mr. Mark Laurence J. Highlights included a keynote address by Hon. Ronald L. Adamat, who emphasized the importance of integrating Indigenous knowledge into higher education curricula. Esteemed speakers such as Bae Limpayen Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las and Dr. Mark Anthony J. Torres shared strategies for empowering Indigenous communities and promoting intercultural dialogue. The event also featured creative competitions and a cultural show celebrating traditional performances and fostering community pride.
