The ABBA Tribute Band, “ABBA Revisited” from Canada unwinds at Calle Z Cafe after their concert at Tacloban City Convention Center (Astrodome) last night, June 26, 2024.
Tourism officials led by DOT RD Karen Santiago Tiopes and staff were on hand to welcome ABBA Revisited, together with front act performer Chester Padilla - Idol PH Season 2, OCJ Singer Song Writer and RNB Artist.

Remembering ST Yolanda/Haiyan at Calle Z... 10 years ago
LIFE GOES ON!!! WE GOTTA MOVE ON!!!
Calle Z remembers those extremely difficult times and prays for the souls of those who perished. We also pay homage to those who gave their wholehearted support and helped us survivors regain our strength and devastated spirits.
Calle Z was among the first to re-open and provide not only food & drinks service but also a venue for reunions, solace and the much needed re-charging of shattered spirits for the hundreds of weary, grieving denizens of Tacloban City.
We re-opened 2 weeks after ST Yolanda struck - on November 22, 2013. Yes, we had hot, lutong-bahay meals! And cold, cold beers! And best of all - ELECTRICITY and free charging of mobile phones, flashlights and laptops! 🙂

Calle's iconic mango tree trunk is finally laid to rest.
After initially bludgeoned by ST Yolanda, it finally gave up after a subsequent typhoon cut her down leaving its main trunk as a bleak reminder of its "glorious" past.
But after termites started to weaken its trunk, it was time to go...
