SHARING EXPERTISE AND CREATING NEW POSSIBILITIES

The National Kidney Foundation Singapore (NKF) and B. Braun Singapore (BBSG) recently organized a three-day visit and meeting in the Philippines to address chronic kidney disease. They aimed to share expertise, create connections, and explore collaborations. The NKF is a non-profit organization dedicated to renal care, while BBSG provides medical products and services. During the visit, they discussed the benefits of the ECOmix Revolution System, a medical technology used in dialysis treatment. The NKF also explored partnerships with BBSG and Filipino hospitals for nursing rotations and medical training. This collaboration showcases how public-private partnerships can address healthcare challenges, particularly in the face of increasing demand for renal care. Overall, this partnership aims to improve the lives of individuals with chronic kidney disease and drive innovation in renal care.

Scheduled on 20 October – 10 November 2022, this fourteen-day blended course on the principles of dialysis center operation will focus on the technical aspects of dialysis treatment and the important tasks that a dialysis technician is expected to perform during the hemodialysis procedure. Training methodology includes online didactics and hands-on training in a dialysis facility.

TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
• Interested individuals who completed at least 2 years of college education or K-12 diploma.
• All healthcare providers (Registered Nurse, Care Giver, Nursing Assistant/Aide, Nursing Graduates) who are interested in learning the technical aspects of dialysis treatment.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Transcript of Record/Diploma.
• Bio data/ Updated Resume
• Any Government ID
• Proof of full vaccination against COVID 19
• CBC or Chest X-ray lab result taken 3-days prior to hands-on training with recommendation from physician that applicant is fit to work or undergo training.
• Proof of negative result of RT-PCR test taken 48 hours prior to the hands-on training.
Course Fee: (Php 9,000) includes course manual, scrub suit, PPE and certificate.
