As a Community Pharmacist, lagi akong nakaka-encounter ng mga customers na nahihirapang maghanap ng kanilang mga gamot lalo na sa panahong ito na ang ilang mga kilalang brand ay kung hindi Out of Stock ay limitado ang supply.
Yes, as a Pharmacist we have this duty to tell customers some alternative brand that has the same effect and active ingredients but they refuse and say:
1. Ito kase ang nireseta ni Doctor, baka magkaproblema pag iba bibilhin ko.
2. Sige maghanap muna ako sa iba.
3. Baka mas mabisa itong nireseta ni dok.
And more more. Aminin naman natin, that doctor has this superior power para sundin talaga ng mga patient ang mga nirereseta sa kanila kase nga they are the Prescribers and we are not against with that reality but the situation today is far different before.
So this is just an appeal. We both want the best Healthcare Outcome. Dont put some additional burden sa ating mga patients in which dapat nabili na nila yung mga gamot nila eh nakikipagsapalaran pa sila kung saan para hanapin yung gamot, nade-delay na yung gamutan na expose pa sila sa Crowded places.

Some would say, may easiest way naman to find their meds, kay Doctor may available naman na ganong gamot.
First, unless the physician is a Pharmacist or he/she has a Pharmacist and an LTO, thats okay.
Second, doble minsan triple ang presyo ng gamot doon compared sa Drugstores.

I hope this post should not build any conflicts instead a better way of understanding. We want to be your partners on maximizing the best healtcare outcomes.
Prescriptions are letters sent by Doctors to the Pharmacist, lets make the best out of it.
