The patient is complaining of her "gummy" smile and teeth discoloration. The anterior teeth visibly showed tea stains and has partially abraded incisal third. Thus, for the treatment, we came up with gum recontouring or also known as Gingivectomy on both of the central incisors and right canine. Direct veneers was made for final restoration, to symmetrically lengthen and enhance the texture of the six anterior teeth.

What is the procedure for odontectomy?
Odontectomy is the extraction of an impacted tooth (embedded under the jaw bone). The procedures include removal of the tooth by separating and opening the gums as well as removal of the bone surrounding the tooth before applying the necessary force for the extraction.
