Traumatic brain injury is a serious health concern that affects millions of people each year. From car accidents to sports injuries, there are many different ways that someone can suffer from this type of injury.

Here are some of the most common causes of TBI:

Falls: a common cause of TBI, especially among older adults and young children.

Motor vehicle accidents: a leading cause of TBI, including car, truck, and motorcycle accidents.

Violence: including gunshots, physical assault, and child abuse, can cause TBI.

Sports injuries: contact sports like football, soccer, and boxing can lead to TBI.

Workplace accidents: particularly in construction and manufacturing industries, can result in TBI.

Medical conditions: such as stroke or brain tumors, can cause TBI.

These causes can result in varying degrees of TBI and can have long-term consequences on cognitive, physical, and emotional health. It is important to take preventive measures and seek medical attention if a TBI is suspected.
