Adding a feather to DavNor's cap, the PADO-Tourism Division bagged the PinasForward award by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) in partnership with the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB).
PinasForward, is a video contest detailing the best practices of LGUs during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Davao del Norte was awarded the winner for the whole of Mindanao.

16 Indigenous People in Barangay Cebulano, Carmen undergoes Livelihood Skills Training
Carmen - The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte through the team of the Provincial Administrator’s Office-Employment and Workforce Development Division (EWDD) and Special Programs and Projects Division (SPPD) successfully conducted a Skills Enhancement Training on BANANA FIBER WEAVING for 16 Indigenous Peoples coming from the different tribes of Mandaya, Bagobo, Sama,Talaandig and Subanen now residing in Cebulano Carmen.
The skills training was initiated under the Knowledge, Advocacy and Development Assistance Services for Indigenous Groups or KADASIG project of the PADO-Special Projects and Programs Division in partnership with the PADO-EWDD.
The training was conducted on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at the Barangay Hall of Barangay Cebulano, Carmen town and ended on March 5, 2021.

JUBAHIB. “Sa 223 ka barangay sa probinsya sa Davao del Norte ipasigarbo nato ang iyang pag higugma kanato kay gipili kita nga maka benipisyo ani nga skills training, og ikasubo nako kung dili nato ni seryosohon kay daghan baya gusto muapil pero kamo nga mga IPs ang gi-prioritize”, he said during the opening program.
MYRNA SOLARTE, a Mandaya women said, “Nalipay jud mi sa pagtagad sa amoa ni Kuya Gov. Edwin I. Jubahib, kay ako mismo dugay na naghandom nga makaapil sa ing-ani nga training.”
They mostly agreed that this kind of training will boost their income.
ROWENA LINDAYAO, the IPMR of Barangay Cebulano said, “Dako namo gikalipay nga si Kuya Gob Edwin wala nakalimot kanamo. Maski Gobernador na siya wala jud siya nag bag-o og wala siya nag asta nga kung kinsa, nagpabilin siya nga yano og mahi-obsanon.”
