Nueva Fuerza Elementary School in Tagum City concluded with a remarkable story of resilience, commitment, and purposefulness.
Among the 53 graduates this school year, Ma Glen G. Ramos, a 12-year-old Dibabawon learner, emerged with flying colors as she received various awards and excelled in her academic pursuits.
Ma Glen is an arc light of inspiration whose journey from the classroom to graduating from elementary has been extraordinary proof of the power of persistence and greatheartedness in the face of life-altering misfortunes.
Born with a condition that interferes with her ability to engage in certain tasks, Ma Glen faced challenges from an early age that could have easily discouraged individuals at some point.
Despite her condition as a person with a disability, she exceeded the odds in life, which drove her to finish elementary. There may be a lot of people with physical handicaps like Ma Glen, but she chose to ignore adversities and difficulties in her educational quests.
Not even the defects in her hand prevented her to aim for success and pursue her dreams. Her greater faith in God regardless of personal downfalls and disappointments.
"There may be a lot of challenges, but I am so happy that I have achieved all of these blessings. For as long as I have my goals and faith in God, everything is possible," she shared.
Trust in oneself and more confidence to do things are the factors she considered to beat all trials in life.
Her mother has become her best support system.
"I always look forward to Ma Glen continuing to strive more and still aim for her studies. Together with her father, we will continue to support her," her mother, Marivic, said.
As she looks toward the future, Ma Glen leaves behind an inspiration and empowerment that will continue to touch others' lives for years to come.

Congratulations to the AES-ALS Graduates for the School Year 2023-2024!
Today| The Apokon Elementary School was abuzz with excitement as they hosted its School-Based National Learning Camp 2024 Parents Orientation at the school’s Covered Court on May 21, 2024.
The event was expertly facilitated by Mrs. Lorie Mae R. Malintad, the School Reading Coordinator, alongside the dedicated NLC teacher volunteers.
Parents of students from various grade levels gathered at the Covered Court to learn more about the upcoming National Learning Camp (NLC) and the activities that their children will be engaging in. Mrs. Malintad and the NLC teacher volunteers shared valuable insights into the goals and objectives of the camp, emphasizing the importance of enhancing students’ reading and learning skills through interactive and engaging programs.
One of the highlights of the orientation was a raffle for food packs, generously sponsored by the City Mayor’s Office and Governor’s Office. The raffle added an element of fun and excitement to the event, with lucky parents walking away with prizes to take home.
A special moment during the orientation was when Miss Ciara Isabelle Uy-Salazar, the Executive Assistant of the Tagum City Government, delivered a heartfelt message to the parents. Her words of encouragement and support for the National Learning Camp and its participants resonated with the attendees, inspiring them to actively engage in their child’s education and support the school’s initiatives.
Through collaboration, the National Learning Camp 2024 Parents Orientation at Apokon Elementary School was a resounding success.
We would to thank the efforts of Mrs. Malintad, the NLC teacher volunteers and the support of the local government offices.
The event set a positive tone for the upcoming camp, promising an enriching and rewarding experience for both students and parents alike.
