The club officers of the Tertiary Education Program, Senior High School, and Junior High School Department, together with their respective moderators sit in on the Leadership Training 2024 with the theme: EMPOWERING FUTURE LEADERS: "BUILDING SKILLS , INSPIRING ACTION, SHAPING TOMORROW", held at the Mother Ignacia Gymnasium, October 11.

The training will aid the student leaders to refine their leadership skills and hone their characters as a leader of their respective academic and non-academic clubs.

To enhance the leadership potential of students across all programs, St. Mary’s College of Tagum, Inc. (SMCTI) SCEB-COP will conduct a Leadership Training session on Friday, October 11, 2024, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, at the M. Ignacia Gymnasium.

This event will gather student officers and moderators from the Basic Education Department (BED) Grades 4-12 and the Tertiary Education Program's academic and non-academic club.

The training, themed "Empowering Future Leaders: Building Skills, Inspiring Action, Shaping Tomorrow," will emphasize key leadership skills, teamwork, and communication strategies through engaging workshops and practical exercises, and will give valuable insights to the student leaders to better serve their organizations and Ignacian Marian community.

On the other hand, the SCEB-COP reminds all participants to wear their new program shirts, bring one laptop per club, and bring pen and paper. Additionally, students are encouraged to bring their own tumblers and avoid bringing food with single-use plastic covers.

Emphasizing the importance of faith and unity within the Ignacian-Marian community, the Eucharistic celebration, led by Rev. Fr. Marlon Pates, also marks a significant moment of spiritual reflection and community gathering for students, faculty, and staff.

It is a stellar day for SMCTI as Marian learners participated in the Library Instruction Program on Magzter & Gale Research Complete with a theme, "Empowering your Journey: Unlocking the full Potential of Library Resources."

An orientation was conducted about Magzter Digital Library, one of the largest digital reading platform that offers unlimited online access to various digital resources as well as an orientation about Gale Research Complete, a platform that provides subscription access to high quality and unique sources that are available today in libraries.

A detailed guide about library instruction was given to allow students to effectively utilize the library resources.

The focus of the orientation is to equip students with necessary skills and knowledge to fully leverage the services available within the school library including books, academic journals, digital databases, and other learning materials that can support students with their coursework and research.

To introduce students to the comprehensive resources and tools available through the school library, St. Mary's College of Tagum, Inc. (SMCTI) School Library will conduct a Library Instruction Program on Magzter and Gale Research Complete, in partnership with The English Club, on September 27, 2024, 8:30AM to 11:30AM, at Mother Ignacia Gymnasium.

This session aims to teach students how to use digital databases, find academic journals, and access other important library services to help them succeed in their studies.

Furthermore, the Tertiary Education Programs students are encouraged to join the said event.

According to SMCTI-Library, the Office of Student Activities has prepared activity stubs to monitor attendance and participation.
