Attention to all CHMSUans!
Please take note of these following steps and requirements for a smooth clearance process:
1. Follow the scheduled date posted on the CHMSU Office for Student Affairs page.
2. All class mayors must gather the clearances of the whole class. Only the class mayor or any representative from the class (incase the mayor is unavailable) will be entertained.
3. A student's clearance will only be signed if he or she complies with the following requirements:
o Must be insured. He or she has already paid the insurance fee.
o Attendance during the FOSTER week. First-year students must have attended the three-day event. (Those who failed to attend must present a letter stating their valid reason.)
o Compendium (only for club and organization officers). They must have accomplished their compendium on or before the deadline, January 24, 2024.
o OSAS Customer Satisfaction Survey. He or she must have responded to the Google form.

Capanas, Legaspi triumph in COPRE 2023
Student journalists from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, Roniel Capanas and Clifford Legaspi bagged awards during the College Press Conference and Awards (COPRE) 2023 awarding ceremony at the Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, Iloilo City on December 20.
Clifford Lachica Legaspi, Managing Editor of The Technopacer - Talisay, secured fifth place among sixty nine participants in the on-the- spot Sports Writing - English Category.
Meanwhile, Roniel Herdon Capanas, a senior photojournalist of the same publication, landed first place in the Photojournalism - English Category and clinched fifth place in the Photojournalism - Filipino Category.
Organized by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 6, this year's theme, โMaximize campus journalism with Media and Information Literacy competencies," brought together various student journalists from Region 6 Western Visayas.

Guidelines to Follow in the Live Band and Solidarity Night
Culture and the Arts Intercampus Meet 2023

The following guidelines must be followed by all bonafide students of CHMSU and visitors who will attend the Live Band and Solidarity Night:
1. Wear your IDs. All students must wear their IDs at all times during the event.
2. Rules and Guidelines to Follow:
a. No drinking, va**ng, nor smoking. These activities are strictly prohibited.
b. Adhere to Greening CHMSU policies. Help keep our campus clean and green by following these
guidelines:
b.1. No single-use plastic straws
b.2. No Styrofoam
b.3. No single-use plastic.
b.4 Practice Clean as You Go at all times.
c. Wear proper attire. Follow the university's dress code.
d. Other analogous cases. Follow all other rules and guidelines provided by CHMSU.
3. Visitors are welcome. Visitors are allowed to attend the event, but they must adhere to CHMSU's rules and regulations.
4. Stay in the venue. Students and visitors must remain in the CHMSU Field and avoid entering other zones.
5. Follow the code of conduct. Deployed ROTCs and guards are authorized to reprimand students and visitors who do not follow the proper code of conduct provided in number two (2). Standby police officers will also be present to ensure everyone's safety.
6. Security screening may be conducted. Visitors may be subject to security screening.
7. Secure your personal belongings. Avoid leaving your personal belongings unattended in the field area.
By following these guidelines, we can ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to visit the Christmas Wish Tree and grant the wishes of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) beginning December 6 until December 22 only. Let us keep the spirit of Christmas alive through our individual or group acts of generosity. The Christmas Wish Tree is located at the entrance lobby of the Global Learning Cafe (Dining Hall), Green Building. For queries, contact Hanah T. Vicera, institutional advocacy support staff at the Center for Internationalization and External Relations.
The Office for Student Affairs and Services conducted a Unit Performance Review and Team Building last December 1, 2023, at Jakeโs Hall, Natureโs Village Resort, Talisay City.
The aforementioned event was attended by the OSAS sub-units, comprising personnel and staff of OSAS, Medical and Dental Clinics, Culture and the Arts, Sports Office, Discipline Officers, C-USG, and Publication Advisers from four campuses: Alijis, Binalbagan, Fortune Towne, and Talisay Campus. Each sub-unit presented their accomplishments and shared their plan of action for the Academic Year 2023-2024.
Dr. Rowela Alayon-Chiu, USLSโ Dean of Office for Student Affairs, served as the resource speaker during the event and discussed the best practices of OSAS in the context of USLS. Meanwhile, the afternoonโs team-building activity was led by Dr. Ma. Elena Y. Doruelo, PE Faculty.
As One CHMSU community, let us offer the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on the first Friday of the month, December 1, 2023, 1:30 pm, at the Global Learning Cafรฉ (Dining Hall), CHMSU Talisay (Main) Campus for thanksgiving, healing, safety, and wellness, repose of the soul of our dearly departed, and for our personal intentions.

If there is a protest against the election results, the formal written protest/complaint must be submitted to OSAS within twenty-four (24) hours after the results of the election have been released. The said protest's/complaints justifications must be enumerated and supported by an affidavit signed by a minimum of two witnesses (Article 8, Election Code).

CHMSCyanihan - Gawad Kalinga Operasyon Walang Iwanan will have its last Relief Aid Caravan to Hinobaan on January 8, 2022.
We still need the following goods for distribution to at least 500 families severely affected by Typhoon Odette: rice, noodles, sugar, salt, oil, canned goods, milk, vitamins, OTC medicines for headache, fever, diarrhea, etc., soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, drinking water, and other home essentials. Last day to drop-off your donation at the operations center in Talisay Campus is on January 7, 2022 before 12:00 pm.
