The Woman Who Invented WI-FI.
Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian-American actress. Along with being a gifted actress, she was also an innovative inventor. Hedy introduced the technology that would serve as the foundation of Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth, as well as many other incredible inventions.
She was a Viennese Jewish woman with a passion for technology and a vocation for theater and film. In Hollywood, and first in Germany, where she began her career and then escaped to avoid the N***s, she was called the most beautiful woman in the world and, indeed, her photos and films confirm that she was incredibly beautiful and talented.
What few in Hollywood suspected was that the brunette who starred alongside Spencer Tracy or Clark Gable was also an extraordinary communications engineer, capable of inventing and patenting a teleguide system for missiles.
The U.S. government rejected the invention during World War II, only to take it back at the time of the Cuban crisis. Hedi Lamarr's invention became fundamental to the development of Wi-Fi technology.
In short, if today we can connect wirelessly with mobiles, PCs and tablets to networks, we owe it to her, the most beautiful woman in the world, which is celebrated today in Austria and Germany, because her birthday has become Inventor's Day. Her legacy lives on, always.

New year has come, new chapters is waving
Pagkatapos ng kasiyahan ay may sumalubong kaagad na research papers.
Ikaw nga sa kanta ni Taylor Swift na Enchanted, βthe lingering questions kept me upβ. Kung saan relate much ang mga studyante dahil sa chapters na dapat pa nilang ayusin at gawin.
Ask the AICSians: Kamusta naman ang inyong research?
Introvert, pero laging nagtatanong kung βkumain ka na ba?β. Tag mo na kung may kilala ka, because today is the day after the dreaded festivities of the past year ends, when they can finally get some peace and quiet to recharge their social batteries.
World Introvert Day is celebrated on January 2 each year. It is a day dedicated to understanding and appreciating the unique qualities of introverts. An introvert is someone who is shy, quiet and prefers to spend time alone rather than often being with other people.
Always remember, being an introvert is absolutely not a bad thing. In contrast, being an introverted person might help you re-set your life, mind, and personality to be a better version of yourself. And the most crucial thing is being confident for yourself because you are unique.
Ilang oras na lang, balik-eskwela na! Handa ka na ba sa iyong Research Defense at Exam? O baka naman nasa vacation mode ka paβ¦ π
We feel you, AICSians! Comment below kung alin sa stages of grief ang nararamdaman mo ngayon! π
