Ulcer at Mahapdi ang Tiyan

Ang peptic ulcer ay sugat na nabuo sa lining ng iyong sikmura.
Ang karaniwang sintomas ay:
1. Mahapdi ang tiyan, nararamdaman sa iyong pusod paakyat sa ilalim ng suso.
2. Tumatagal ng ilang minuto ang hanggang ilang oras.
3. Mas masakit kapag ang tiyan ay walang laman.
4. Mas mahapdi sa gabi.
5. Pansamantalang nawawala ang sakit kapag kumain o kapag uminom ng gamot na nagbabawas ng acid.
6. Nawawala at bumabalik sa ibang araw.
Para maiwasan ang ulcer:
1. Huwag manigarilyo. Ang paninigarilyo ay maaaring makasira sa lining ng sikmura, at maaaring magpabilis sa pagbuo ng ulcer. Ang paninigarilyo ay nakapagpapataas din ng acid sa sikmura.
2. Iwasan ang alak. Ang sobrang pag-inom ng alak ay maaaring maka-irita sa lining ng inyong sikmura at bituka, na nagiging dahilan ng pamamaga at pagdurugo.
3. Iwasan ang pain relievers tulad ng mefenamic acid, ibuprofen at iba pa. Ito ay maaaring maka-irita sa lining ng iyong sikmura.
4. Kontrolin ang acid-reflux. Umiwas sa matataba at maaanghang na pagkain. Iwasan din humiga pagtapos kumain. Magbawas ng timbang at itaas ang ulo sa iyong k**a.
