CY 2024 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)

On June 28, 2024, at about 2:00 PM, Personnel of LDN PPO led by PLTCOL ALLAN S ABALDE, DPDO under the supervision of PCOL ROY A MAGSALAY, Officer In-Charge, LDN PPO conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) CY 2024 by executing the duck, cover, and hold in close coordination of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office together with the personnel of MDRRMO Tubod, LDN as evaluators, held at Camp Major Eduardo J Gallego, Pigcarangan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

Essential equipment, such as grab-and-go bags, first aid kits, and search and rescue equipment, were brought by the personnel. Scenarios were performed during the drill to assess their preparedness and readiness in times of disaster.

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU-10), in collaboration with other units, successfully confiscated PhP 136,000.00 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Diversion Road, Zone 2, Igpit, Opol, Misamis Oriental on June 27, 2024.
The operation led to the apprehension of two drug suspects, a 22-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, both residents of Kalilangan, Bukidnon. The police confirmed that both suspects are first-time offenders. It was revealed that the illegal drugs were sourced from Lanao del Sur, where the suspects personally obtained the items and distributed them in Opol, Misamis Oriental.
Seized during the operation were seven pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 20 grams, with Standard Drug Price of PhP136,000.00, and a PhP1,000.00 bill used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are now under the custody of Opol Municipal Police Station, Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, for proper disposition.
PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regional Director, PRO10, commends the personnel involved in the successful operation against illegal drugs.
“I would like to reiterate that we are intensifying our hardening measures and our strategies to apprehend and bring to justice those who engage in illegal drug activities. Again, we will not tolerate any presence of illegal drugs in the region,” he said.

Camp Gallego, Tubod, Lanao del Norte –In a decisive action against illegal drug activities, personnel of Kapatagan MPS, together with 2nd PMFC, LDN PPO and PIU, LDN PPO, conducted a joint anti-illegal drug operation at Purok 2, Brgy. Balili, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte on June 27, 2024.

The team executed Search Warrant No. 21-821, in coordination with PDEA, against a suspect known as aka ‘Badon’, Top 2 Provincial Level-SLI, male, 30 years old, with live-in partner, jobless, and a resident of abovementioned address. The warrant was issued and signed by Hon. Alberto P Quinto, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 21, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.

During the search and seizure operation, the following items were confiscated from the suspect's residence: Eleven (11) pieces small size heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu having estimated total weight of MOL 1 gram with SDP value of Php 6,800.00; Eight ( 8 ) pieces folded aluminum foil; and One (1) piece Mentos color blue.

The operation was conducted in an orderly manner, with the presence of the suspect, and was witnessed by a Barangay Official and a Media Representative to ensure transparency and adherence to legal protocols.

Cases for violation of Section 11 and 12, Article II of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were being prepared for inquest filing against the suspect. The suspect is now under the custody of Kapatagan MPS for documentation and proper disposition while confiscated/seized drug items were brought to PFU, LDN subject for quantitative and qualitative examination.

𝗣𝗥𝗢𝟭𝟬 𝗬𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗𝗦 𝟭𝟲𝟰 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗣𝗦, 𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗦 𝗣𝟭.𝟴𝗠 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗕𝗨

CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- A total of 164 individuals, involved in the illegal activities, were apprehended by the police during its one-week law enforcement operations on June 20 to 26, 2024.

The weeklong operation underscored the relentless campaign against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, loose fi****ms (kontra boga), and the revitalized katok (bilang boga) initiative.

In anti-illegal drug campaign, PRO10 executed 68 operations, resulting in the apprehension of 78 drug suspects and confiscation of 278.88 grams of shabu and 20 grams of ma*****na, with a total Standard Drug Price of PhP1,898,784.00.

In anti-illegal gambling, this PRO conducted nine operations which led to a positive result. They apprehended 21 individuals and confiscated PhP5,679.00 worth of illegal gambling items.

The commitment to apprehend wanted individuals was also evident as PRO10 apprehended 63 individuals, including eight Most Wanted Persons and 55 Other Wanted Persons.
In the battle against loose fi****ms (Kontra Boga), PRO10 conducted 28 operations, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation/surrender/recovery of 20 small arms and one light weapon. Approximately 599 house visitations for Oplan Katok (Bilang Boga) were conducted, resulting in the voluntary surrender of 19 fi****ms for safekeeping.

“Ang tagumpay na ito ay patunay lamang ng ating dedikasyon at pagsisikap na wakasin ang mga iligal na aktibidades sa ating rehiyon. CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City- PBGEN RICARDO G LAYUG JR, Regiona Director, PRO10, commends the Police Station 4 COCPO for their swift response to a recent hostage-taking incident occurred at Masterson Ave. Fly Over, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City on June 25, 2024.

The incident involved a suspect who took a 50-year-old woman hostage. During the negotiation, police managed the crisis effectively and efficiently, leading them to neutralize the hostage taker and secure the victim.

Following the arrest, the suspect resisted and attempted to stab the responding personnel. One officer sustained a minor stab wound to his right leg, while the victim suffered a stab wound to her right shoulder and a laceration on her left ring finger.

The suspect is now under the Marharlika Detention Cell for proper disposition. A case for the crime of Frustrated Murder has been filed against him.

PBGEN LAYUG JR. expressed his gratitude to the personnel of PS4 COCPO and the SWAT team for their dedication and courage.

“The swift response and professional handling of this incident exemplify the commitment of the responding unit to ensure the safety and security of our community. PRO10 will continue to uphold the rule of law and maintain the highest standards of police service. Keep up the good work,” he said.

JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION LEADS TO THE ARREST OF TOP 1 PROVINCIAL MOST WANTED PERSON

Camp Gallego, Tubod, Lanao del Norte – At approximately 2:45 PM on June 26, 2024, personnel from the Alaminos Municipal Police Station (MPS), Laguna Provincial Police Office (PPO), in coordination with Bacolod MPS and the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) of Lanao del Norte PPO, conducted a joint law enforcement operation in Brgy. San Roque, Alaminos, Laguna. This operation resulted in the successful arrest of the accused, who is listed as the Top 1 Most Wanted Person at the provincial level.

The accused, a 53-year-old male, (BOD: March 20, 1971), married, and a resident of Barangay Minaulon, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte, was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code, docketed under Criminal Case No. 22-26493. The warrant was issued and signed by Hon. Leonor Sumugat Quiñones, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Tenth Judicial Region, Branch 6, Iligan City, on May 13, 2022. No bail was recommended for the accused.

The accused is now under the custody of Alaminos MPS, Laguna PPO, pending presentation to the court that issued the warrant.

THREE WANTED PERSONS APPREHENDED FOR QUALIFIED THIEF IN BACOLOD, LDN

Camp Gallego, Tubod, Lanao del Norte – A successful joint operation between the Tracker Team from Bacolod MPS and PIU, LDN culminated in the apprehension of three (3) wanted individuals in Purok 3, Brgy. Poblacion, Bacolod, Lanao del Norte.

Based on the report, at about 3:00 PM on June 26, 2024, law enforcement officers successfully executed a warrant of arrest against the three (3) wanted individuals, all residents of Purok 3B, Brgy. Esperanza, Bacolod, LDN. The accused were apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Qualified Theft, docketed under CC No. 23-28392 issued by Hon. Ali Ombra R. Bacaraman, Acting Presiding Judge of Branch 6, 12th Judicial Region, Iligan City, dated April 24, 2024, with bail bond recommended at 30,000.00 pesos each.

The accused are now under the custody of Bacolod MPS for documentation and further disposition.

JOINT LAW ENFORCEMENT OPERATION LEADS TO ARREST OF WANTED PERSON IN TUBOD, LDN


Camp Gallego, Tubod, Lanao del Norte—At about 10:30 AM of June 26, 2024, a collaborative effort by Tracker Team from Tubod MPS, together with PFU-CIDG, LDN; PHPT, LDN; Tracker Team 5, LDN PPO; MARPSTA, LDN; and PIU, LDN PPO, resulted in a successful joint law enforcement operation against a wanted individual at Purok 2, TCES, Brgy. Poblacion, Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

The operation culminated in the arrest of the accused 35-year-old male (DOB: January 15, 1989), with live-in partner, and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Palao, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. The accused was arrested by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest for Qualified Theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 789-07-2010 issued and signed by Hon. Dennis P Vicoy, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 07, Tubod, Lanao del Norte dated July 1, 2013 with Php 24,000.00 bail recommended.

The arrested individual is now in the custody of Tubod MPS for further disposition.
