Today, on the 114th Anniversary of the Er****on of the Diocese of Tuguegarao, we thank God for giving us a Pastor who was ordained as priest and later as a Bishop on the same day. Happy Anniversary, Archbishpp Ric!

114th AANIVERSARY | SEE OF TUGUEGARAO

Today, holds a dual significance for the Catholic faithful in the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao. On this day, we commemorate not only the 114th anniversary of the establishment of the see of Tuguegarao but also the presbyteral and episcopal anniversary of our esteemed shepherd, Most Rev. Ricardo Baccay, D.D., the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.

As the faithful reflect on the 114 years since the er****on of the see of Tuguegarao, they recognize the foundational role this diocese has played in nurturing the faith of generations of believers in the Cagayan Valley region. Through the tireless efforts of bishops, priests, religious, and lay faithful, the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao has served as a beacon of faith, offering spiritual guidance, pastoral care, and charitable outreach to the local community.

Among the Filipino traditions during the Mahal na Araw is the Visita Iglesia. This involves visiting seven Churches, with each Church calling the faithful to reflect on the seven final places Jesus went from his arrest on Holy Thursday to his death on Good Friday.

The Cataggaman PYM visited the following Churches:
1. St. Dominic de Guzman Parish, Cataggaman
2. St. Joseph the Spouse of Mary, Peñablanca
3. Archdiocesan Shrine of Divine Mercy, Leonarda
4. St. Rose of Lima Parish, Annafunan
5. Sto. Niño Parish and Shrine, San Gabriel
6. Ermita de San Jacinto, Centro 8
7. St. Peter Metropolitan Cathedral Parish, Centro 10

We are thrilled to announce that Rev. Father Jake Ordillos will be the new Parish Priest of Cataggaman. He will be assisted by Rev. Father Domingo Langcay in shepherding the entire St. Dominic de Guzman Parish - Cataggaman.

Another two promising Shepherds will be leading the whole flock in our humble parish community.

His Excellency, Rev. Ricardo L. Baccay, D.D., has appointed Rev. Fr. Mario Dante De la Cruz as the Parish Priest of the Archdiocesan Shrine and Parish of Sto.Niño. At present, Fr. Dante is the Parish Priest of St. Dominic de Guzman Parish, Cataggaman.

As we prepare ourselves religiously for our prayerful participation during the Holy Week 2024, we invite all our kalakbays, to join our PENITENTIAL WALK 2024 this March 23, 2024 (Saturday) at 4 o 'clock in the morning starting from Poor Clare Monastery - Bayo, Iguig to St. James the Apostle Parish - Ajat, Cagayan.

May this walk of faith inspire us to become closer to God and experience the sufferings of sacrifices as we will later on be enlightened by the lessons we learn through this journey. This is a reflective activity of how we can also show our devotion to God as He bestow us the graces and mercy that keep us going each day.
