DEBATHON HEROES PROVED THEIR COSMIC DEBATING SKILLS ONCE AGAIN!

The riveting debate, anchored by the motion 'This house supports the idea that the responsibility of individuals gifted with superpowers such as Volta goes beyond personal choice and should be governed by ethical guidelines to ensure their contributions align with societal values,' witnessed an intense clash between Team Papepet, represented by Leo Dela Cruz, Lorraine Calimag, and JP Calimag, and Team Kungkurungkung, featuring Joolyen Acluba, Ayessa Tulauan, and Aya Dumlao. The Shazamful exchange culminated in Team Papepet emerging as the victors.

In another heroic round, the motion 'this house, as Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah should consider aligning with the intergalactic villains known as Amazonistas, in initiating a conflict against all male entities spanning the galaxy,' fueled an interstellar debate. Team A, with Third De Guzman, Mabel Banatao, and Aya Dumlao, clashed with Team B, comprised of Joolyen Acluba, Leo Dela Cruz, and JP Calimag. The cosmic confrontation was marked by compelling arguments and strategic discourse, ultimately leading to Team A's triumph.

Behind the stellar performances, Third De Guzman emerged as the Best Debater, earning accolades for an exceptional display of eloquence and critical thinking. The individual scores reflected a tapestry of intellect, with Joolyen Acluba, Thirdie, Leo Dela Cruz, Mabel Banatao, JP Calimag, and Arianne showcasing their debating prowess.

As the echoes of intellectual battles linger, anticipation builds for the glitchy DEBATHON on the gamepads next Friday.

Equally determined and empowered debaters spoke with meaningful arguments, defended their benches, and laid notable discourses on the table as a dash of an engaging and intense clash of wit and sharp minds took place today as the Debathon officially started its first two matches at the Conference Hall.

Standing to their ground and opposing the motion, THBT events/programs of religious institutions that are open to the public should not include proselytization, Lorraine Joy Calimag (Leader of Opposition), Jose Paulino Calimag (Deputy Leader of Opposition), and Arianne Joy Dumlao (Opposition Whip) emerged victorious in the Debathon Team Category Match.

Meanwhile, Ayessa Tulauan (Deputy Leader of Opposition) secures her spot as Best Debater of the Individual Category as her team with Joolyen Acluba (Leader of Opposition) and Arianne Dumlao (Opposition Whip) earns their win in countering the motion THR the romanticization of art and architecture of previous eras (Roman, Classical, Renaissance, etc.) in contrast to art and architecture most commonly seen nowadays.

This Friday comes another episode.

Women have different roles and responsibilities in our society. They have big contributions and inventions that these valuable individuals made as they also inspire us in different aspects of our lives. For all the mothers who carried their children for nine months, for the soldier women who are ready to serve our beloved country, for the teachers who have the passion and dedication to teach their students especially in this time of pandemic, for the women athletes and beauty queens who work hard and have the determination to represent our nation all over the world, and for the transgender women who raise their equality flag as they are confident to speak their voice and promote gender equality in our society. For all the women who choose to fight for their rights and are strong enough to surpass all the challenges that they've gone through, MABUHAY PO KAYONG LAHAT.
