𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐌𝐓𝐋𝐄 | A novena is a beautiful and powerful spiritual practice in the Catholic tradition, consisting of nine consecutive days of prayer. The act of committing to a novena signifies deep faith and trust in God's providence, as it is believed that such sustained prayer can bring about miraculous changes, offer strength in times of hardship, and provide comfort and hope.

As we embark on this spiritual journey, we turn our thoughts and prayers to our dear ates and kuyas who will be taking the August 2024 Medical Technology Licensure Examination (MTLE). These exams are a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. Let us stand by them in spirit, offering our unwavering support and encouragement. Our prayers can be a source of strength for them, helping to calm their nerves and bolster their confidence during this critical time.

We invite every member of the CAHSian community to join us in solidarity as we come together in prayer every day at 10 AM, starting June 28. This collective act of devotion is a testament to our unity and commitment to supporting our MTLE takers. Let us lift them up with our prayers, asking for divine guidance and wisdom to be bestowed upon them.

The College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) announced yesterday the outstanding achievements of 30 pioneer Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (BSMLS) interns at the Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research Center in Cabanatuan City during a Clinical Graduation ceremony.

The awards include recognizing one intern for exemplary performance and dedication as the Outstanding Intern, three interns for excellence in the specialized skill of phlebotomy with the Best in Phlebotomy award, and four interns for consistent commitment and diligence with the Most Diligent Award.

CSU has also achieved the highest number of individual awards among 11 participating schools, underscoring the interns' exceptional abilities and efforts.

Furthermore, CSU has been named the Best Performing School among these 11 schools. This first-of-its-kind award is based on the interns' outstanding performance in quizzes, practical exams, and their exemplary attitude and behavior.

2. The College Staff will facilitate your enrollment (from Advising to Assessment) SO THAT THERE IS NO NEED FOR THE STUDENTS TO COME TO SCHOOL FOR ENROLLMENT UNLESS THERE ARE LACKING OR INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTS THAT YOU MUST SUBMIT.

Dr. Ramelo Ramirez, known to his colleagues as Sir Bing, is a diligent and tireless worker, researcher, and a husband. Dr. Ramelo is commended and honored as one of Asia's top scientists by the Alper-Doger Scientific Index 2024 Philippines. Other than that, along with his colleagues , they have brought CSU to the 6th position among the top universities in the Philippines. Dr. Ramirez’s contributions have firmly established him as one of the cornerstones of our institution for 14 years.

The epitome of wisdom, proficiency, and competence, Ma’am Dorina Sabatin! Playing one of the pivotal role in the academe, Ma’am D**g has also served as the college dean for more than 2 years, greatly yielding an environment where students have thrived and continue to relentlessly flourish.

As they voyage into new uncharted horizons, we pray that God’s pinions will guard them and envelop them with His wings. We, the CAHSian community, extend our hearts full of appreciation and respect. The CAHS Student Council commends the recent triumph of Ruth Aguinaldo, Nicolle Allam, Cherry Bucaling, and Lhormie Singun for winning FIRST PLACE under social category of 2024 Search for Best Undergraduate Thesis and Best Thesis Mentor held last June 20 at the CSU Andrews Claude Convention Center.

The four fourth year BSPH students bested the other contestants from other campuses with their thesis study entitled, Compliance of Indigenous Mothers on Perinatal Care Provisions of the DOH MNCHN Program. Their thesis study, through the supervision of their mentor Prof. Vilma Villaluz, generally aimed to assess the level of compliance of Indigenous mothers on perinatal care provisions of the DOH MNCHN program.

A community-based activity titled "𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙖𝙧𝙞: 𝙉𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙚𝙨" is lined with the college extension project " SUN MAP: Scaling-Up Nutrition of the MAlnourised Population" was conducted on June 22, 2024, at Namabbalan Sur Multi-Purpose Hall, in collaboration with Philippine Dental Association, Tuguegarao City - Cagayan Dental Chapter.

The extension program highlights various activities such as free dental check-ups, anthropometric assessments, interactive booths for children, and a nutrition education that extends beyond a classroom setting and establishes a healthy lifestyle that lasts a lifetime.

In a recent report, Dr. Teresito C. Bacolcol, the Director of DOST-PHIVOLCS , explained the geological forces affecting the Philippine Archipelago. He mentioned that the archipelago experiences pressure from both the Eurasian Plate and the Philippine Sea Plate, with significant movement from the latter pushing the archipelago northwestward. This explanation demonstrates the possible dangers from tectonic activity and clarifies the seismic forces in the area.

Adding to concerns is the serious warning from PHIVOLCS about the possibility of 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 8. This revelation is alarming, especially considering the country's seismic activity and its potential impact on public safety and infrastructure. PHIVOLCS emphasizes the need for preparedness and alertness, urging both authorities and communities to strengthen earthquake resilience measures. Given the Philippines' location in the Pacific Ring of Fire, known for frequent seismic activity, taking proactive steps to reduce risks and ensure public safety is crucial.
