MARCOS WANTS DEV'T IN BICOL EXPRESS

BBM's plan includes the continuation of additional bridge and road projects in the Bicol Region that will shrink travel time from remote areas in the region to NCR, vice-versa.

One of the projects is the bridge from Naga City to Manila started under the watch of former President Gloria Arroyo and continued under Duterte admin.

BBM said he has early on discussed the importance of such projects to expedite development in Bicol with former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar.

“I once went to Legazpi from Manila, it took me 18 hours because, at that time, sira-sira talaga 'yung daan."

Aside from bridges and roads, Marcos will also revive Bicol Express and surrounding roads: “Nandiyan na, eh: Meron ng railings ng tren, nasa plano rin."

BBM said development should percolate evenly into all regions, "kailangan sabay-sabay. That’s when the infrastructure becomes critical."
