We have a free will yet God will not intervene unless we allow Him to enter our heart and life.

When God didn't allow it to happen it's protection.

[2] Alalahanin mo ang Diyos bago makubli ang sikat ng araw, bago magdilim ang buwan at mga bituin, bago ka matabunan ng makapal at madilim na ulap. [3] Alalahanin mo siya bago humina ang iyong katawan, bago manghina ang iyong mga bisig, bago mawalan ng lakas ang iyong mga tuhod. Alalahanin mo siya bago mabungi ang iyong mga ngipin at bago lumabo ang iyong mga mata.
