Hello guys! G’lens here.

Tagal ko’ng hindi nakapaghawak ng camera. Last time I did a photoshoot was last year but actually before that, nawala na talaga yung fondness ko sa photography in general. I seldom touch any camera nor do I even want to see my personal camera inside my room. It got to the point where I already want to sell my only camera (pero thankfully, hindi natuloy). I lost my interest in photography before I even formally started to put my focus in this field- like doing it for other purposes other than just being a hobby or whatever.

It’s really sad when you lose your interest on things that you used to love but what’s more tragic I think is the gnawing pain you felt while undergoing the process of losing a part of you- it’s unbearable especially those days where I see people being proud and happy of their recent photoshoot/funshoot (simply because I envied them; because I no longer have that passion and craving for the sound of the shutter or the desire of holding a camera, just like them. It was like there's nothing in there anymore, not passion/interest nor drive to do something; something that once made me feel good). What happened was really scary. Scary in the sense that I felt nothing but emptiness even with the good and bad things happening around me. Just nothing. Anyways, just recently, I was able to save up enough courage to slowly get back to photography with the help of my friend, Lyka, who started her photography journey as well.

Thus, I’d want to invite those interested for a FREE PHOTOSHOOT.

Cheers to the grainy photos as well. I know that not everyone appreciates this kind of visual distortion in photographs (just like those you found in film) but I actually do. Don't judge me, I'm a sucker for the vintage vibes. Those grainy and blurry photographs? That's my thing. Probably that's why I bought a film camera because even though I've been editing photos for a while I feel like I haven't yet got the right texture I want for my photographs.

I am not a professional photographer, but I know the fact that this kind of editing style won't work at all times, only to selected ones. I just hope that all photographers/hobbyists would appreciate or respect the editing style of others too especially when it's the photographer's own set- not commissioned, not for anyone, but solely for the owner of the photographs. Too vibrant? Too monotonous? Too sharp? Too soft? Too grainy? Well, what if I told you that it's purely intentional? What works for you, may not always work for others. For me, this film grain brings life to my photographs, that's why I love it. But it does not also mean that I'm not into capturing appealing sharp photos bc I do as well esp when needed. Let's just appreciate and give respect to one another.

Most of my pictures have this grainy vintage looking style and I'm pretty sure that's because I am one of those few people who even though appreciate and enjoy the things we have today... still got this silly desperate wish that I could hop in a time machine and just go back to an era where people live slowly and in peace.

Through these photographs, I can really see where I am supposed to be in the past- and there, I was really happy.
