Of the four seasons, I like autumn best. Maybe itโs because of the vibrant and awesome colors of autumn, or the melancholy of the season.
Autumn is the time when one who has endured the noonday sun, can rest, look back, just be, and say to oneself, โWhat is done is done. I did the best I can.โ
In the autumn of our lives, may we be filled, not with regrets, but with serenity, peace and happiness.
A MOMENT WITH THE LORD
Lord, in all the seasons of my life, please stay with me and be my light. Amen.
A MOMENT WITH THE WORD
โCome, I will lead you into solitude, and there, I will speak tenderly to your heart. I will be true and faithful.โ Hosea 2:19-20

THE FIRST WEDNESDAY MIRACLE PRAYER. ๐
+ Heavenly Father, through your Son Jesus Christ, you have opened the way to heaven for each one of us. As you personally revealed yourself to your beloved patriarchs and apostles, so reveal yourself to me that I may recognize your presence with me and know the power of your kingdom at work in my life. May I always find joy and peace in your presence and never lose sight of your everlasting kingdom. We also ask humbly for Your many graces and miracles. Please hear us, Lord. Amen.
Loving Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us!
3 CLASSES OF SACRED RELICS
Today (November 5) is the traditional feast of Sacred Relics.
Relics are material items that are connected to a saint or holy person. These can be instruments for Godโs miraculous power.
There are three classifications of relics: the FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD.
โข FIRST-CLASS RELIC
The first-class is a part of the saints body.
(It is this type which is placed in an altar stone.)
โข SECOND-CLASS RELIC
The second-class is a piece of the saints clothing or something used by the saint.
โข THIRD-CLASS RELIC
The third-class is an object which has been touched to a first-class relic.
Isnt the veneration of relics optional for Catholics?
Must the Catholic faithful really esteem the bodies of the saints?
Once and for all,
The Council of Trent (16th century) responded to the claims of the reformers that both the veneration of the saints and their relics is contrary to Sacred Scripture.
The Council taught:
Also the holy bodies of the holy martyrs and of the others who dwell with Christ . . .
are to be honored by the faithful.
There are several scriptural passages that support the veneration of relics.
For example ;
the Israelites took Josephs bones when they departed Egypt (Ex. 13:19).
The bones of Elisha came in contact with a dead person who then was raised to life
(2 Kings 13:21).
The same Elisha took the mantle of Elijah and fashioned a miracle with it (2 Kings 2:13).
The Christians of Ephesus, by using handkerchiefs and cloths touched to St. Pauls skin, effected the healing of the sick
(Acts 19:12).

โLord, sometimes when I cannot pray, I sit very still with nothing to say. Nevertheless I know You are there, and I whisper Your name, because I know You care. You know the troubles in my mind. You know my weaknesses and the failures in my life, and at times, my doubts, worries and fears. I know that Your spirit is with me, and that You will never leave me nor abandon me, ever. And so in the silence of my heart, I will listen only to Your sweet voice, hear Your tender but true words, and feel Your embrace. In You alone will I trust, put my faith, and surrender everything. Amen.โ
A MOMENT WITH THE LORD
Lord, thank You for being with me, always. Amen.
A MOMENT WITH THE WORD
โBe still and know that I am God.โ Psalm 46:10

PROTECTION PRAYER FOR OUR FAMILIES. ๐
+In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.
"Let us always meet each other with a smile, for a smile is the beginning of love.โ ~ Mother Teresa
NO ONE GOES TO HEAVEN IMPURE
"When a person dies, they do not go straight to heaven, unless they are Saints on Earth. You are doing a great evil to your love ones, if you don't pray for them. Do not say, my relative is in heaven now! No they are not. If they are Catholic and died with confession they went to Purgatory. It is your obligation to make sure that person receives the last Sacraments, and your obligation if you truly love them, to pray so they may get out of the fires of Purgatory soon.
A Holy Mass once a year, its cruel! Once a Month is not any better. Think of your time, how will you like people to pray for you? Remember one second in Purgatory feels like years. Pray and say many Masses for your love ones. No One goes to heaven not pure. I come to tell you that they suffer in Purgatory, that they weep, and that they demand with urgent cries the help of your prayers and your good works.
I seem to hear them crying from the depths of those fires which devour them: "Tell our loved ones, tell our children, tell all our relatives how great the evils are which they are making us suffer. We throw ourselves at their feet to implore the help of their prayers. Ah! Tell them that since we have been separated from them, we have been here burning in the flames!" "
-Saint John Marie Baptiste Vianney

HELP FILL THE WORLD WITH LOVE
by Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD
The story is told about a dying husband who said to his wife: โWhen I die, I want you to marry Juan.โ Surprised, the wife said: โI thought Juan was your enemy.โ Whereupon, the husband said: โYes, he is my enemy, and I want him to suffer, too.โ
โโโโโ-
In todayโs Gospel (Mark 12, 28-34), Jesus tells us clearly that the greatest commandment is to love God and to love our neighbor. We ask ourselves today these questions: Am I loving God to the max? Am I loving others as myself? Am I living a grateful life to God? Am I hurting people as I journey through life?
โโโโโ-
Loving God to the max means loving Him with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds, and with all our strength. We know this, but the sad reality is that we often love God not as much as we love ourselves. Mea culpa, mea culpa. Lord, forgive us for we often forget You, and take for granted Your love and presence in our lives. We do not listen to You enough and we even disobey and sin against You.
โโโโโ-
Loving oneโs neighbor means not hurting them, not making life more difficult for them. Life is difficult enough, so let us not add more to our neighborโs struggles and problems. Forgive us Lord for the times we hurt other people, and we do not share enough of our time, talents, and treasures, especially to the poor and the suffering, because of our selfishness and pride.
โโโโโ-
โWhatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me,โ (Matthew 25:40). The bottom line in the final accounting before God is the goodness we have done, and the love we have shared while we were still alive. Sad to say, the bottom line for some is just money. For those who die with money, nothing follows; for those who die with love, eternity follows.
โโโโโ-
We just celebrated All Saintsโ Day to remind us that we have a heart. Saints were those people who chose to love and sacrifice and give from the heart. They chose love over worldly wealth, power, and fame. They chose to be โfoolsโ in the eyes of the world, but โblessedโ in the eyes of God.
โโโโโ-
All Soulsโ Day reminds us that we have a soul. Life ends in death but our soul lives on. Our life on earth is temporary and fleeting. Our final destination is heaven. Eternity is waiting. Let us make the choice to do good, and to love while we are still alive.
โโโโโ-
In the end, may we have little or no regrets that we loved God and people too little, too late because we loved ourselves too much. Let us all help fill the world with love, in any way we can, while we still can!
โโโโโ-
Are you lucky in life? Are you blessed in life? The โluckyโ person (โsuwerteโ) is one who credits his/her achievements to himself/herself, his/her hard work, wisdom, good breaks, or good connections. On the other hand, the โblessedโ person is one who acknowledges Godโs presence and love as the main factor of his/her success and blessings. The lucky person does not feel the need to be grateful to someone greater than himself/herself, nor does he/she feel the need to share his/her worldly blessings with others.
โโโโโ-
You โluckyโ persons out there, remember, you become a blessed person when you know how to be humble and grateful to God, and when you become a blessing to others, too. When God raises your standard of living, raise also your standard of giving.
โโโโโ-
Think about this: What would be that one word, one adjective, that you would choose to be written on your tombstone? And what would people write about you in your tombstone to describe you? But most of all, what word will God use to describe you? He has the final word.
โโโโโ-
Sharing with you my prayer in my sunset years: Lord, may I spend the rest of my life, the best of my life; may my exit from this world be kind; may my entry to eternity be light and bright. Amen.
โโโโโ-
โPeople who love each other fully and truly are the happiest people in the world. They may have little, they may have nothing, but they are happy people. Everything depends on how we love one another,โ (Mother Teresa).
โโโโโ-
A moment with the Lord:
Lord, while I am still alive, let me help fill the world with love, in any simple way I can. Amen.
