Masayang idinaos ng Mababang Paaralan ng Landang Gua ang pagtatapos ng Buwan ng Wika 2024 na may temang: "Filipino, Wikang Mapagpalaya" noong Bieyernes, ika-30 ng Agosto.

Ang palatuntunan ay dinaluhan ng mga mag-aaral na kanya-kanyang naghanda ng kanilang Kasuotang Filipino kasama ang kanilang mga g**o na hindi rin nagpahuli sa pagsuot ng kanilang makukulay na Kasuotang Filipino.

Ang pampinid na palatuntunan ay mas lalo pang naging masaya dahil sa pagpapamalas ng iba't ibang baitang ng kanilang galing at talento sa iba't ibang patimpalak gaya ng Sayawit ng Awiting Bayan at Sayawing Bayan.

Binigyang parangal din sa araw na ito ang mga nagsipagwagi sa kategoryang I-ispel Mo, Muling Pagkukwento, at Interpretatibong Pagbasa.

HIGHLIGHTS | AGOSTO 2024

Ang Indigenous People's Education (IPEd) ay isa sa mga programa ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon upang tugunan ang karapatan ng mga Katutubong Pilipino sa isang kalidad na edukasyon na nagbibigay halaga sa kanilang husay, talento at pagkakakilanlan.

Bilang isang IPEd implementing school, ang Mababang Paaralan ng Landang Gua ay nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Pandaigdigang Araw ng mga Katutubo. Ito ay bilang pagkilala sa mga katutubong mag-aaral na patuloy na pinahahalagahan at pinapanatili ang kanilang tradisyon na isinalin sa kanila at patuloy na isasalin sa mga susunod na henerasyon.

Ang palatuntunan na ito ay pinangunahan ng IPEd Coordinator, Gng. Nur-Aina A. Abdulmajid.

Taos pusong nakikiisa ang Mababang Paaralan ng Landang Gua sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika 2024 na may temang: "Filipino: Wikang Mapagpalaya."

Pormal na sinimulan ang pagdiriwang na ito noong ika-7 ng Agosto sa isang palatuntunan na dinaluhan ng mga mag-aaral at ng mga g**o. Hindi maikakaila sa mga ngiti ng mga mag-aaral ang tuwa sa araw na ito na suot-suot pa ang kanilang mga Pilipinong Kasuotan.

Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay pinangunahan ng punong-abala sa Filipino na si G. Mark Anthony Mariano sa pamumuno ng bagong punongg**o na si Sir Marconie Kalbi.

Sa kanyang pambungad na mensahe ay binigyang diin ni Sir Kalbi ang kahalagahan ng Wikang Filipino sa paglinang ng mayamang kultura ng Pilipinas. Ito rin ay simbolo ng kasarinlan at pagkakakilanlan ng bawat Pilipino.

Iba't ibang mga patimpalak at aktibidades ang inihanda sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika sa taong ito.

OPCRF EVALUATION 2024

Sa pangunguna ni Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil -- punongg**o ng Mababang Paaralan ng Landang Gua at ang Talon-Talon district Filipino focal person, ay isinagawa ang Pandistritong Patimpalak ng Read-a-thon sa Filipino noong ika-28 ng Pebrero sa Talon-Talon CSSC Covered Court.

Ang nasabing patimpalak ay dinaluhan at nilahukan ng mga mag-aaral at kanilang tagasanay mula sa iba't ibang paaralan sa distrito ng Talon-Talon. Tunay ngang nagpakitang-gilas ang mga kalahok sa iba't ibang larangan katulad ng: Muling Pagkukuwento (Grade 3), Interpretatibong Pagbasa (Grade 6), Ispel mo (Grade 6), at Sulat Bigkas (Grade 10).

Ang mga nagsipag-wagi sa pandistritong patimpalak ay siyang magiging kinatawan ng distrito ng Talon-Talon sa Pandibisyong Filipino Festival of Talents.

Nais din naming bigyan ng pagkilala ang mga sumusunod na mag-aaral mula sa LGES na lumahok sa mga nasabing kategorya:

LGES GOES TO SINUNUK ISLAND 🏝

As part of INSET, Team Building was one of the highlights of the 5-day activity. It is conducted to encourage collaboration within the institution and to promote healthy competition through and through.

For this year’s Team Building activity, LGES faculty and staff went to Sinunuk Island. Different fun games were prepared and participated by both the teachers and staff.

LGES wraps up In-service Training for Teachers 2024

The 5-day INSET has concluded with series of activities and lectures from the Faculty.

The first part of the last day of training was focused on two more speakers on their topics about Project-based Learning and Revisiting the Grading System in the K-12 Curriculum.

The culmination of lectures and training sessions was succeeded by Demonstration Teaching for Kindergarten, Primary, and Intermediate Level. The demo teachers were Ms. Flisha Trupa (Kindergarten), Ms. Fatima Adil-Jamad (Primary), and Mr. Mark Anthony Mariano (Intermediate).

Ultimately, the last part of the training was allocated for the Mid-Year Performance Review which was discussed by LGES School Principal, Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil. The review aims to comprehensively discuss IPCRF and target setting agreement with teachers.

The last day of INSET was conducted at Landang Gua Elementary School.

Day 3 | In-service Training for Teachers 2024

Learning continues on a Friday as three (3) speakers conducted insightful and useful sessions relevant to the needs and demands of education especially those of in the island.

The whole-day training focused on Reading Comprehension that also entailed Designing Effective Imstructional Material using variety of strategies to actively develop the skill.

In addition to that, a session on utilizing Digital Applications for learners was also provided where teachers can opt for an online or offline app that would best cater their learners’ needs.

DAY 2 | In-service Training for Teachers 2024

The first session on the the 2nd day of InSet 2024 was a joint assembly of both Landang Gua ES and Arena Blance West ES. The topic on Understanding of Health and Wellness in the Workplace was discussed by the District Nurse Ma’am Cynthia D. Alam-Alam. It was given emphasis that a healthy workplace creates harmony in the workforce thus increasing productivity among colleagues towards work.

The next two (2) sessions were delivered by LGES School Principal Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil and Math Coordinator Sir Abdelnafar Sala. The former revisited and introduced new key concepts on Differentiated Instruction and how to run it effectively during classroom instruction. Dr. Jamil also provided series of activities during her session.

The latter, on the other hand, delivered a comprehensive discussion on Numeracy Integration Across Learning Areas in time with the Catch-up program. The activities given and insights elicited from the participants during the session harness them as they navigate through this program and in daily instruction. Sir Abdel also provided series of tasks through the course of his session.

DAY 1 | In-service Training for Teachers 2024

Landang Gua Elementary School commenced the 5-day In-service Training for Teachers at Arena Blanco West Elementary School.

The training aims to nail down timely and relevant educational advancement especially in Reading and Numeracy. With its focus on revisiting widely known and proven teaching strategies together with the introduction of new and systematic methods in learning key concepts in reading, the training sessions are packed with topics that are aimed to hit these targets for optimum mastery of knowledge.

School Principal Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil also put emphasis on the constant and crucial role of teachers in the teaching-learning process. Adding that teachers are the most important key players in the realization of learning among learners.

In the afternoon, the session was graced by the presence of Talon-Talon PSDS, Dr. Norma T. Francisco who continuously encouraged the teachers in delivering quality instruction and crafting effective assessments to learners.

The InSet training will run from January 24-26, 29-30, 2024.

On January 22, Landang Gua Elementary School received seven (7) units of 55” Smart TV from Deped Zamboanga-SDO. This was preceded by the turning over of four (4) laptop units last week.

These supplies from the SDO is indeed an effective avenue to develop 21st century skills that involve Media Literacy and use of ICT. These will greatly help both the learners and teachers to be at par with the technological advancements and the evolving educational setup.

The items were received by LGES School Principal, Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil and School Property Custodian, Maam Diana T. Reyes.

On December 6, 2023, LGES participated the simultaneous tree planting activity to support the DepEd 236,000 Tress- A Christmas Gift for the Children Project.

The SLEG officers, BSP ang GSP together with the teachers and stakeholders planted Narra, Ipil and Kamagong seedling inside the school ground to promote environmental preservation and instill environmental responsibility among LGES learners.

Indeed, hands-on learning and practical application like tree planting activity develop strong sense of responsibility towards the environment.

On behalf of myself, Sir Mark, Sir Abdel, Sir Rudimar, and the ten dedicated boyscouts, I extend our deepest gratitude for the unwavering support you provided during our recent participation in the Scout Rally Competition.

While the competition did not culminate in victory, the journey was rich with lessons and camaraderie, thanks in no small part to your collective support. Parents, your encouragement and presence on the sidelines were a source of strength for our boyscouts. Teachers, your guidance and mentorship instilled a sense of purpose and discipline. Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil, your leadership paved the way for this enriching experience.

I would be remiss not to express profound appreciation for my esteemed colleagues, Sir Mark, Sir Abdel, and Sir Rudimar. Your dedication as boyscout adult leaders played a pivotal role in shaping the character and resilience of our scouts. Your unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and empowering environment did not go unnoticed, and I am grateful to have shared this experience with such exceptional individuals.

LOOK | Scouting Never Stops

As the institutional camp reached its end, the scouts and the leaders consistently displayed interest and energy on the Day 2 of the activity.

At the break of dawn, the scouts started their day with various Physical Exercises. After, the different patrols prepared for the series of activities lined up for the rest of the day.

In its advocacy for a greener and brrighter tomorrow, the scouts vigorously participated in the Hiking and Tree Planting activity where they were joined by the Marines as the school security detail and community representatives as one of our stakeholders.

Furthermore, the closing program was graced by the GPTA officers who are one with the institution in ensuring the success of the activity.

The closing program was led by the School OIC, Maam Vanessa Gracia Alexandra M. Hamsaji as the representative of Institutional Head, Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil. Together with her are the BSP coordinators β€” Sir Mark Anthony S. Mariano and Sir Rudimar B. Hassan, GSP coordinator β€” Maam Aminah C. Amillusin, BSP adult leaders, and GSP Titas.

RECENT | INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2023

LGES successfully conducted its Investiture Ceremony for the new members of the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of the Philippines.

The newly-invested scouts pledged their commitment in upholding the values of the organization and dedicating their best in scouting. The ceremony was led by the school OIC, Ma’am Vanessa Gracia Alexandra M. Hamsaji as the representative of the Institutional Head, Dr. Mary Ann I. Jamil and was also joined by the BSP and GSP Adult Leaders.

Truly, Investiture Ceremony is a powerful reminder of one’s genuine passion, camaraderie, and shared responsibility within the scouting community.
